A deadly disease strikes, and everyone is ill-equipped to handle it; a group of young people is stuck inside trying to escape, and they feel (and act) weird about it. This is the plot of Giovanni Boccaccio's 14th century story collection, set against the backdrop of the Black Death. For SOME REASON, this felt relevant to adapt in the early 2020s.
