A podcast for people who like movies and hate cops. Every...I dont know, month or so you can get captured by the spectacle and listen to some some anti-authoritarian freaks get together to jib jab about video games, shows, comics, and anything under the umbrella of nerd shit using that as a springboard to get silly in ways that will sound bad in court proceedings later (all things said on the podcast are parody and in minecraft, nice try FBI) Formerly The Anarcho-Geek Power Hour. • FRANKENSTEIN
    Nov 26 2025

Shuli Branson joins Io to discuss Frankenstein! We talk about Mary Shelley’s cool life and legacy and Guillermo Del Toro’s (secret egg) take on her story. We also talk monstrosity, transness, parenthood and abolishing the family, prison, id and ego, what “life” is. You know, Frankenstein stuff. It’s about an hour and a half of a professor and a clown talking Frankenstein stuff.

Listen to Shuli’s good ass podcast The Breakup Theory and check out their writing collective CAW

    Sep 7 2025

Margaret Killjoy, Hazel Acacia and Io Asunder talk about everyone’s favorite allegory for Vietnam (Star Wars) Specifically the only good Star Wars, Andor. We deconstruct the second season of the best god damn show ever made and have a couple laughs along the way. We talk about revolutionary fiction, what we would do if given free reign over a piece of the Star Wars extended universe, fascists in love and their bewildering sexual habits, hope, nihilism, the catechism of the revolutionary, ego, manufacturing consent, ends/means, and what separates the people who do revolution an the people who inherit it. Also Margaret get annoying with a Star Wars soundboard.

  • It's a . . . Decameronomenon!
    Aug 4 2025
    Episode Summary

A deadly disease strikes, and everyone is ill-equipped to handle it; a group of young people is stuck inside trying to escape, and they feel (and act) weird about it. This is the plot of Giovanni Boccaccio's 14th century story collection, set against the backdrop of the Black Death. For SOME REASON, this felt relevant to adapt in the early 2020s. Robin, Miriam, and returning guest Ellery discuss Netflix's Decameron mini-series, along with the actual Decameron, the COVID-19 pandemic, and how we depict, and discuss disease, and what feels like the end of the world.
