  • Top Tips for Amputees - Scarlett
    Nov 17 2021
The Skeletal Cancer Trust is proud to present Top Tips for Amputees, a platform for people to talk about their experience of living life as an amputee and hopefully inspire others - even if it is with only one little helpful tip.
The podcast is presented by Milli Lipshaw CNS and Sarah Wright SCT and is supported by Radio Brockley.
Whilst a lot of our interviews are with sarcoma patients this is a resource for all amputees.
In this episode Milli and Sarah speak to Scarlett, an 11 year old girl who had a through hip amputation at the RNOH earlier this year. Scarlett eloquently talks through her journey to becoming an amputee and what life is like now, she says “if it doesn’t go to plan, I find another way around!”

Her ‘top tip’ is “try to be positive”.
