Excellent

Kept me interested to the end
This was a different type of audible but I like it
The narrators were good and I like that there was multiple people involved with this audible
Even though the case was never really solved it was well worth the listen.

Excellent

To be good true crime the writer must tell a compelling story. It shouldn't be just about a murder. It should tell the story of a life. The Riddle of Emmon Bodfish does that. Nothing about Emmon was ordinary. Nothing about the murder was as it seemed. The format was a documentary style. The listeners follow the investigators as they study the intricacies of a complicated path leading to the violent death. So interesting and so much empathy for those involved. Jim Clemente guides the story along. Paul Holes and the investigators do a great job describing different parts of the case. Those acquainted with Emmon made him more than just a victim. I highly recommend this to anyone interested in a good story, not just true crime.

Excellent.

This is written with such respect for the victim. I appreciated the fact that the participants were careful about pronouns etc. The story is haunting and a true mystery. It also showcases how lonely some people are and their struggle to love and be loved.

So good on so many levels!

I watch and listen to A LOT of true crime and this is by far one of the most interesting cases All the individuals related to this case are fascinating independent of the crime itself (which is most perplexing). The story is told in an intelligent, thoughtful, and respectful manner, rather than the salacious approach we have grown used to. And trust me there are many “salacious” aspects to this case. That made it all the more enjoyable. I would love for them to do more podcasts on the cases Paul has handled. He is a brilliant and dedicated investigator. Loved it!

Brillant

Very good story telling. I normally hate a story with no solved ending..but I’m ok with this one. Its so odd, and involved but well told easy to follow. I feel some poor souls are just too intelligent to be happy? If that makes sense, or you just cant have it ‘all’..don’t know, I’ll be thinking about this one for awhile…
