    Founder and creator of Way of the Viking Mens Mental fitness programme

    This programme utilises the protocols of behaviour change, mental and physical fitness, competition, camaraderie, challenge and of course our natural environment to support men in reigniting their passion for life and fitness once more. We have an aim to support men in feeling happier and more positive daily.


    An underlying aim of the programme is to encourage men to talk…..to be willing to show vulnerability all in the process of making themselves stronger and more productive in all facets of life than they have ever been in the past.

    Having lost a great friend to suicide, along with many other old friends, this necessity to try and create a PRE-habilitative approach to mens mental fitness has been at the core of our method.

    If men can see that being open and discussing issues and stresses with other like minded individuals can bring great success in their health, wealth and other components of life..then the aim is that more men will be encouraged to talk openly and therefore prevent that overwhelming feeling of internalising all pressure until it boils over in self destructive ways.

    Our moonshot idea is to reduce the male suicide rate which currently lies at approximately 75% of all successful suicides in the UK and the world at large through a prehabilitative approach preventing a larger number of men ever having to reach that point of no return.

    What better way to encourage men to talk and feel better about life in general whilst building up their physical fitness in the process than exploring nature with cold water dips in the sea, hikes over the South Downs and more intense sessions using the natural terrain of the hillsides for greater challenge?

    Nature plays a huge role in Way of the Viking as it always naturally calls us in when we need to heal and has the most incredible relaxing properties. It also feels far more comfortable to talk whilst in nature with less distractions.
