    CCNS’ Roger Aronoff, interviewed the legendary New York Times reporter and playwright Bernard Weinraub. They discuss the new Ken Burns PBS documentary, “The U.S. and the Holocaust.” Weinraub wrote a play about 15 years ago called “The Accomplices,” which addresses some of the same issues covered in the Burns documentary. 

    Bernard Weinraub began working at The New York Times as a copyboy. He rose through the ranks to work as a foreign correspondent in Vietnam, in Belfast, in New Delhi, and London. He was a Pentagon reporter, a political writer, and a White House correspondent during the final years of the Reagan administration and the first year of Bush 41. He left Washington and became The New York Times’ Hollywood correspondent in 1991, and after his 1997 marriage to Columbia Pictures President Amy Pascal, Weinraub was given the new title of “Senior West Coast Cultural Correspondent.”

Rosett worked many years for the Wall Street Journal, as Moscow bureau chief, a member of the editorial board, Editor of the editorial page of the Asian WSJ, as well as covering China, the UN, and North Korea. She spent about a dozen years as journalist-in-residence and is now with the Independent Women’s Forum.

  • Episode 6 - with Thomas Homan

    This week’s guest is Thomas Homan, a 33-year law enforcement veteran with nearly 30 years of immigration enforcement experience. He's served as a police officer in a small town in New York, a U.S. Border Patrol agent and as a special agent with U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service. He was the Executive Associate Director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) under President Obama, and the Acting Director of ICE under President Trump. He is a Fox News analyst and author of a book titled “Defend the Border and Save Lives.”

    With host Roger Aronoff, the Executive Director and Editor of the CCNS, they discussed a wide range of issues related to America’s wide open southern border: sanctuary cities, drug/sex/child trafficking, fentanyl, the rationale behind Biden’s policies, the differences on border issues between Trump and Biden, and media coverage of all of it. Paul Vallely (Ret.) about the past nine years as co-founding members of both the Citizens Commission on Benghazi and CCNS. 

    With Carafano, Aronoff discussed threats to U.S. national security, such as China, Iran and certain Biden administration foreign and domestic policies.

    David Tice’s documentary examines what would happen if the United States power grid were to ever shut down. It looks at what could cause it, including cyber-hacking or an EMP, and what we can do to prevent it.

Larry Bailey, a 27-year veteran of the Navy SEALs, about his career in the Navy, including stints in Vietnam, Dominican Republic and more, plus his three years when he was Commander of the Naval Special Warfare Center, where all the Navy SEALs are trained.

    They also discussed some of Bailey’s post-military activities including the Gathering of Eagles, Special Operations Speaks, and his involvement with both the Citizens Commission on Benghazi and the Citizens Commission on National Security. Other issues include “stolen valor,” people who claimed to have had a military career that turned out not to be true, and wokeness in the military today and how that affects military readiness. Bailey names names and doesn’t hold back.
