  • Georgia's Coast is NOT an Ashtray (with Keep Golden Isles Beautiful)
    Sep 7 2022

Georgia's coastline might be small, but it sure is beautiful. In this episode, we talk with our partner organization, Keep Golden Isles Beautiful about the initiative that affects both our our coastlines: Georgia's Coast is NOT an Ashtray.

The Golden Isles, which encompasses Sea Island, Jekyll Island, St. Simons Island as well as Brunswick is located about 60 minutes southeast of Savannah. They spearhead the Georgia's Coast is NOT an Ashtray initiative that works to raise awareness and the cleanup of toxic cigarette butts along the coastal estuaries and seashores of Georgia.

Through cigarette receptacle installations and a massive drink coaster campaign, they, along with other Keep Beautiful organizations, work to raise awareness of this ongoing program. It's just another way we, along with Keep Golden Isles Beautiful, work to truly make not just Savannah, but all of coastal Georgia truly beautiful.
