  • #165 Findability and why SEO still matters in 2026
    Apr 13 2026

Search is changing rapidly in the age of AI, but that doesn’t mean SEO is disappearing. In many ways, it’s actually becoming more important. In this episode I explore how search behaviour is evolving as more people ask detailed questions through tools like ChatGPT and AI-enhanced search engines.

We talk about why long-form content such as blog posts and podcast episodes continues to be one of the most powerful ways for people to discover your work, especially compared with short-lived social media posts.

I also discuss accessibility, metadata, and how thoughtful website structure helps both humans and search engines understand your work.If you want your work to be discoverable for years rather than hours, investing in a good website and meaningful content is one of the most sustainable strategies available.

    Apr 6 2026

In this episode I’m joined by coach, writer and community builder Anne-Marie Zanzal.Anne-Marie supports women who are questioning their sexuality or coming out later in life.

After coming out herself in midlife, she began building a business that helps others to explore identity, grief and transformation with support and community. We talk about the courage it takes to question the life you’re living, and how major identity shifts often come with grief, fear and growth. Anne-Marie shares how finding an online community changed her own journey and eventually led her to create courses, coaching programs and a podcast that now support others navigating similar transitions. We also explore the realities of building a values-aligned business, for example learning through trial and error, creating offerings that genuinely serve people, and finding sustainable ways to do meaningful work without following conventional business models.

Anne-Marie Zanzal is a coach, writer, and community builder who supports people—especially queer women coming out or re-orienting their lives later in life—as they navigate identity, change, and belonging with courage and compassion. An ordained minister and longtime meditation teacher, Anne-Marie brings a deeply human, non-hustle approach to personal growth rooted in self-kindness, shared common humanity, and mindful awareness. Through her courses, workshops, podcast, and online communities, she creates spaces where people can slow down, tell the truth, and reconnect with what actually matters. Her work gently challenges conditioning and “shoulds,” helping people build lives and relationships that feel authentic, sustainable, and alive.

Anne-Marie lives with her wife and family and believes that meaningful change—personal or professional—begins when we allow ourselves to be honest, tender, and fully present. https://annemariezanzal.com/ https://www.linkedin.com/in/annemariezanzal/ https://www.facebook.com/amzanzal https://www.instagram.com/annemariezanzalcoaching/ https://www.tiktok.com/@annemariezanzal?is_from_webapp=1&sender_device=pc https://www.youtube.com/@annemariezanzal

  • #162 Simplifying your business by simplifying your life
    Mar 23 2026

In this episode of the Kind Business Show, I explore how simplifying our lives can help us build calmer, more sustainable businesses.

Inspired by the book Your Money or Your Life by Vicki Robin and Joe Domínguez, I talk about the idea of calculating our true hourly income across different income streams and how this can completely change how we think about work.I also reflect on the lifestyle choices that shape our financial needs, including my own journey from living in large European cities to settling in a small town in Scotland in search of more rest, time, and simplicity.

Finally, I share practical ways to simplify different areas of life from finances and time management to social commitments and digital habits. When we align our businesses with our actual capacity and the lives we truly want to live, something beautiful becomes possible: work that supports our wellbeing rather than overwhelming it.

  • #161 Why good websites feel calm
    Mar 16 2026

What makes a website feel instantly welcoming while others feel overwhelming? In this episode of the Kind Business Show, I explore the psychology behind calm web design and why clarity is one of the most powerful tools for converting visitors into clients. We talk about cognitive load, visual hierarchy, white space, and the idea that “a confused mind says no.” When a website makes it easy for visitors to understand what you offer and what their next step is, trust naturally grows.I also share practical insights from my experience as a web designer about the small design choices that can transform a website from stressful to soothing. You are welcome to get on the waitlist for Kind Marketing here:

  • #159 Addressing old money beliefs in new ways
    Mar 2 2026

In this episode, I’m talking about how marketing can bring us face to face with our deepest beliefs about money.

Building a marketing ecosystem isn’t just about strategy. It often raises questions about worth, trust, safety and what we believe we deserve.

    We explore:

    • Why marketing can feel emotionally charged

    • How working with numbers like conversion rates can feel uncomfortable

    • What happens when marketing is actually successful

    • How early money messages from caregivers shape our business decisions

    • The link between inherited money beliefs and marketing visibility

I share a simple reflective exercise to help you map your own money memories and understand how they continue to influence the way you relate to income, pricing and growth.

Because when we understand where our money stories come from, we can begin to relate to marketing in a way that feels kinder and more aligned.

  • #158 Pricing for economic justice & abundance
    Feb 23 2026

In this episode of the Kind Business Show, I’m exploring pricing through the lens of economic justice and abundance.

Talking about money can feel uncomfortable, especially in times like these. But avoiding the conversation doesn’t make the system fairer. Instead, it can leave us isolated, under-resourced, and unsure how to advocate for ourselves and each other.

This episode is an invitation to rehumanise pricing. We’ll look at what actually goes into our work, why transparency matters, and how past experiences with money can shape how it feels to be paid. I also share practical ways small business owners can move toward more inclusive pricing models, without sacrificing their own safety or sustainability.

Finally, I talk about reverse engineering pricing from your real needs, both now and in the long term, and holding the tension between enoughness and abundance with gentleness.

This is not about having perfect answers. It’s about grounding pricing in lived experience, care, and community.
