This is a month (9/7-10/7) to notice when it's time to let go, withdraw, reevaluate, REST. We've been through a lot so far this year, and our physical bodies need attention. Our mental state, too. It's time to dissolve divisions, restore harmony, find our boundaries, and look to those who can share their wisdom with us. Sure, the Rooster wants to yell out about why they know best, but the Yin Wood energy can, and should, temper some of that extremism. If not, expect impulsivity and reckless behavior to knock us off balance, leading to folly.

Just because your family of origin/society believes certain ingredient MUST be added doesn't mean that you can't change the recipe! Being open to how others live can enhance our experience of life.

Returning to the ability to view the world through the wonder and amazement of a child will rekindle the joy and creativity of youth. Relax into the flow of change, and you'll recognize when the timing is right to shift. Intuition will tell you when to embrace spontaneity.

The energy of July, based on this I Ching reading, promises to be dramatic! The card for the month, #47, Oppression, really speaks to the feeling of being surrounded by danger and chaos, but as long as we stay attuned to our inner light, we will make it through to the other side.

#5, Waiting, focus line 5, wants us to know that it's good to take breaks, but to be prepared to take action when the time is right.

#3, Difficulty in the Beginning, focus line 2, asks us to go inside, do the inner work, and then see where you need to learn more before taking unwise action.

#29, The Abysmal, focus line 6, invites us to stay grounded, acknowledge any potential danger around us, and join with the collective at the right time to take action to make the changes needed. That collective may be a group of people, or it may be your own self. It's time to find our courage and ground our emotions in order to truly see what the situation is. No one can be at their best when they are under the influence of collective panic, anger, or fear...or even collective joy! All of these cloud our judgement and decisions are made not from a space of objectivity, but from emotions. July is the month to be practical and considered.

DOUBLE SNAKE MONTH! All of our transformation will be doubled this month, and expect to see many areas of life experience a pruning effect. This will be especially pronounced on May 12th, a Yin Metal Snake day in a Yin Metal Snake month in a Yin Wood Snake year!

Money and attitudes around abundance and hoarding of assets will be up for us all. We will need to balance our Egos with our Essence, going within to find our wisdom. It may be a good time to step away from the conflicts, and withdraw from the fray.
