  • Feed Me Like You Mean It ft. Sydney Chin
    Apr 23 2025

Hello friends! Today I bring you another missive from the land of the chronically unemployed. So many changes are unfolding for this space, the most notable being that the Cosmic Co-Op finally has a website! Look at us. All grown up.

For this episode, I had the absolute pleasure of sitting down with queer Venusian chef and kitchen revolutionary Sydney Chin. We talked about food, yes, but also about pleasure and what it means to truly love food–not just cooking or serving it, but honoring it as art form, mutual aid, and ancestral technology.

Sydney and I dug into the realities of the restaurant industry, the harm it inflicts on those behind the curtain, and what it might mean to imagine a different kind of kitchen (even at the highest levels of culinary excellence) which is centered around mutual care, solidarity, and embracing mistakes.

This conversation left my stomach growling and my heart feeling full. Go get a snack before you press play. Trust me.

    • There will also be another Shame Alchemy meetup for anti-capitalist entrepreneurs on May 19th--come get a free taste of what we do inside the Co-Op! The first two meetups I've hosted have been full of grounding & nourishing discussions where we name the contradictions and inner conflicts brought about by systemic shame. No recording, no replay, just expansive recognition & presence amongst like-minded folks.

  • Gardening For The End of The World ft. Rebecca Maslen
    Apr 1 2025

    Welcome back to another episode!

How is your eclipse season hangover going? It's officially spring in the Northern Hemisphere, which makes my conversation with Rebecca Maslen even more timely, as we are discussing the radical, political, and creative side of gardening. Rebecca is a gardening consultant and writer who recently launched her new Substack, Gardening For The End of The World, and I was so delighted when she reached out about coming onto the pod.

We had a grounding & nourishing discussion of the many anti-capitalist parallels to gardening that are available to us, and Rebecca shared her wisdom about why gardening is not only an act of pleasure, but also an opportunity for creating more fulfilling connections with the human and n0n-human worlds which surround us. You can learn more and book a virtual garden consultation on Rebecca's website and follow her on Instagram.

  • Fear Alchemy For The Revolution ft. Brittany Wittig
    Mar 15 2025

Welcome back, friends. In this episode, I sit down with Coming Out of the Spiritual Closet podcast host Brittany Wittig, a fear alchemist & channeler, to talk about what it really means to work with fear instead of against it. Brittany’s work helps people transform fear into personal power, and our conversation couldn’t have come at a better time.

We explore the ways capitalism weaponizes fear to keep us small, how grief and fear are deeply intertwined, and why developing a relationship with your fear is essential in chaotic times. Brittany shares her approach to fear alchemy, a practice that allows us to acknowledge, process, and ultimately transmute fear into something generative. I also get into the importance of micro-disruptions--small, intentional acts of resistance--and the necessity of balancing fear work with joy so we don’t burn out. I walked away from this conversation with a deeper understanding & appreciation of my own relationship to fear, and I hope you do too.

    Mentioned in the episode:

    • Business Magick Virtual Summit – I’m speaking in the morning on March 18th (Pacific Time) about Shame Alchemy for anti-capitalist business owners. It’s free to join, and replays are available.

  • Queering Shadow Work ft. Nikki Vergakes
    Feb 28 2025

Welcome back, comrades, and happy new moon in Pisces. With this episode, I offer you another eye-opening conversation with Nikki Vergakes, aka The Queer Shadow Work Witch. She is a guide in the art of cosmic self-discovery through hypnosis, astrology, and deep personal excavation. We pick apart what shadow work really is, and why facing the hidden or ashamed parts of ourselves is one of the most potent tools for transformation. Nikki & I also explore how shadow work intersects with anti-capitalism and why unlearning binary, black-and-white thinking is a radical act.

Big news: I am speaking at the Business Magick summit! Join us March 17th-19th for a FREE virtual event and learn from other mystical entrepreneurs about how to make your business profitable, ethical, and fun. Get your free ticket here - the optional goody bag comes with my lecture Subverting Capitalism Through The Houses as well as other digital treasures from my fellow speakers.

All of my writing & my mailing list have moved to Ghost! You can become a Co-Op Member with a contribution of $3/month, or $25/year. • Mathematically Assisted Miracles ft. Siobhan Diores
    Feb 1 2025

Happy New Year’s Eve, dear friends. In the final Cosmic Co-Op episode of 2024, I had the immense pleasure and privilege to sit down and chat with Siobhan Diores of Soft Power to unpack the messy and liberating path of people emerging as radical leaders. Along the way, we get into some big questions, like what does it mean to be a student of change? Not just the comfortable, Instagrammable kind that gets you pats on the back, but uncomfortable, unpopular, deeply activating change?

We also explore how creativity serves as both a balm and a battering ram by carving out space for authenticity and community in a system that thrives on disconnection. Siobhan shares her journey from witchy birth doula to co-founder of a church rooted in care, creativity, connection, and change. Along the way, we talk about portals, spirit babies, and the nuanced realities of reproductive choices, radical leadership, and interpersonal accountability.

The new moon in Capricorn is a tender chapter-marker as we close out another calendar year and are inevitably pulled to personal reflection and forward thinking, and this episode is as much about the personal as it is about the collective. It’s about how we make decisions when the stakes feel impossibly high, and how we can shift the narrative of what it means to live intentionally within a system that asks us to choose survival over selfhood.

And because this podcast thrives on community, I’m also weaving in a listener submission that asks a beautifully tender question about moving between safety and risk, stability and growth:

“I am torn between two goals, it seems. On one hand I want to move somewhere that is a bit more queer friendly with great public transport, so that at least my and my family's quality of life can be improved. However, I feel that this move could draw me away from nature and from my craft which is herbalism based in many ways. I don't know how I would relate to nature in a bigger city, but on the other hand, I am so weary of living where I grew up in a suburban hellscape that is only traversable by car. When I speak to my family about wanting to move to Chicago, they feel it comes out of nowhere and doesn't fit my personality, but I am starting to wonder if I have just been self isolating my true desires out of a need to feel stable or secure in my relationships and maybe being a bit afraid of such a huge change? Anyway, I wonder how one prepares financially and spirituality for such a big change when they are still feeling unsure of its wisdom and alignment?”

Take care of yourself as you listen—this episode touches on themes of abortion and interpersonal abuse.

  • Semi-Autonomous Peasants With Swords ft. Andrea Webb
    Feb 25 2025

In this episode, I share some of my thoughts on the gatekeeping of anti-capitalist rhetoric and education, bitch about caffeine withdrawals during Mercury retrograde, and have a ferociously fantastic conversation with Andrea Webb (she/they) of Every Light Wellness.

Like most of my guests, Andi has been an internet mutual of mine for several years. The jig is up: this podcast is actually just a way for me to trick my favorite people into talking with me for an hour and letting me brag about them to the world.

Andrea is a malefic sorcerer, embodying the spirits of Saturn and Mars with so much grit and heart, who describes themself as, amongst other things, a flower essence which is “indicated for difficult and violent shifts in life; allows us to shed our skin without taking the flesh and bone with it. Moving from one ‘phase’ to another with grace instead of trauma. A supple spine and open hands.”

And I truly don’t think I could say it any better myself. It is a privilege to share her with you, and I hope this exchange ignites something underneath your ass, because it certainly did for me.

    This week’s listener submission:

Does owning my own (currently solo) business in the 21st century really make me petite bourgeoisie? How might small biz owners now differ from small biz owners in the time that phrase was coined? Can we really wield our small power differently?

  • We're All Born Hungry (And The Rest Is Gun-Loving Drag Queens) ft. Neha Jha
    Feb 4 2025

In this episode, I have a juicy conversation with my fellow Libra rising and astro baddie, Neha Jha. Neha is a board-certified master life & success coach, hypnotherapist, EFT tapping practitioner & Reiki master who blends astrology, Human Design, and meditation teachings to lead her students to their most authentic, fully realized selves.

We talk about a wide range of topics, from the deep darkness of the moon in Scorpio to attachment theory to the reality of living in the American South. I loved learning even more about Neha’s journey as an anti-capitalist business owner and spiritual jack of all trades, and I know you will, too.
