  • EP 9 - Fall Creek Falls Adventure, Because Sometimes Adventure Happens Outside of the Theme Park
    Aug 28 2025
So we ditched the theme parks for a bit and headed down to Tennessee for a family reunion at Fall Creek Falls State Park. And wow - this place totally blew us away.Picture this: we're talking about a 30,000-acre park with five of Tennessee's tallest waterfalls, all within walking distance. The main falls? 256 feet of pure gorgeous. Sure, the trails are labeled "moderate," but let's be real - you're scrambling over rocks and definitely need those walking sticks. We stayed at their brand new lodge (built in 2021) and honestly, the whole setup was incredible. Lake views from every room, free breakfast with waffle makers, and staff that actually seemed happy to be there. Plus, they don't even charge you to get into the park - how crazy is that? The best part? We discovered there are like 500 waterfalls between eastern Tennessee and western North Carolina. Who knew? And don't get us started on how pet-friendly this place is - dogs everywhere and everyone's cool with it.We're also diving into why state parks are seriously underrated. Like, people think national parks are the only way to go, but sometimes the state park right next door has better amenities and way fewer crowds.Fair warning, though - we had some thoughts about the restaurant food. Nothing terrible, just... meh. But honestly, after hiking down to see a hairless cat (yes, really), mediocre food was the least of our concerns.Next episode, we're tackling all the Disney news that's been exploding lately, including some changes at Disneyland that we're not exactly thrilled about. But that's a whole other story.
