  • Sir Stephen Fry, Richard Osman, and Radio X is Ten! #514
    Sep 26 2025

Is it illegal to take a photo of an empty chair in Malta?

Welcome back to the Chris Moyles Show on Radio X Podcast.

As it's the 10 year anniversary of Radio X, we had one final £10,000 to give away. Plus, we announced our huge Radio X is Ten Live gig. Circa Waves, Hard-Fi, and Jake Bugg are all going to be there in Manchester this November, as well as headliners Blossoms who joined the team to chat about their journey with Radio X.

We spoke to Sir Stephen Fry about his play ‘The Importance of Being Earnest’ which is now showing in London’s West End. Etiquette expert William Hanson waltzed in for a huge podcast announcement and more importantly, try something he’s never got his mouth around before.

Jason Byrne was on the show this week to talk about his love of Bono, and his UK tour of new show ‘Head In The Clouds’. And the guy who once sat behind a laptop, Richard Osman, popped by to discuss his books being made into films by Steven Spielberg, spelling Piers Brosnan's name incorrectly, and his new book ‘The Impossible Fortune’ that made Chris cry.

That’s all for this week but keep an ear out for these crackers:

    • A certain jam eater’s birthday
    • Dom's nudey cruise
    • One of our most excited winners of tickets ever!

    Enjoy!

  • The Chris Moyles Show Massive Decade Tour Edition #513
    Sep 19 2025

    What a tour!

Welcome back to the Chris Moyles Show on Radio X Podcast.

To celebrate ten years of Radio X, Chris and the team carried out their Massive Decade Tour. They hosted the show live from five locations around the country, with locations of special significance to them all.

They started the week live in a barn on the legendary Blur bassist, Alex James’s farm. Well when I say barn, let’s be honest it's more like a cathedral! Alex gave them a tour of the place and chatted about the incredible musicians he’s hosted on his farm and spoke on his life now as a full-time farmer.

The team then dashed to Wrexham where they presented live from the Turf pub, literally touching distance from the Wrexham A.F.C. football stadium. After chatting with landlord Wayne and some locals who popped by, they made their next stop in Chris’s hometown: Leeds, where more shenanigans went down.

Next it was to Brown- I mean Whitehaven, where Chris unveiled a very special surprise for the locals, before making their final stop in Glasgow on Friday, where they did the show live from their hotel in front of an audience.

Throughout all of this chaos, each day a lucky listener won £10,000 as a thank you for supporting Radio X over all these years. We also had special guests along the way, such as Humphrey Ker, Susie McCabe and the one and only McWobinson.

Normality will resume next week as Chris et al. will be back in the studio (after some seriously well earned rest!)

Keep an ear out for these best bits:

    • Captain’s lover
    • Fermenting your plums
    • Richard Ashcroft lookalike (...kind of)

    Enjoy!

  • Jamie Oliver, Massive Decade Tour and a new Chris Moyles Show member! #512
    Sep 12 2025

    Are bees farm animals?

Welcome back to the Chris Moyles Show on Radio X Podcast.

Well, we can’t ignore the Polly in the room any longer. You have all noticed her, and had a go at guessing her name and who she is, but officially she introduces herself this week. Polly! Our new, incredible, producer for The Chris Moyles Show. Expect more from her as the weeks go on and she becomes more accustomed to the show’s… erm… uniqueness!

Chef and friend of the show, Jamie Oliver came into the studio this week to talk about his new book and TV show: Eat Yourself Healthy. He discusses how unhealthy the UK has become over the recent decades and the ways we can get back on track. Jamie also spoke about his recent flying lessons, and how effective they have been at helping his busy brain take a step back and slow down.

With the 10 year anniversary of Radio X just weeks away, Chris and the team announced their Massive Decade Tour, similar to the Prize Dump tour but with a twist. Starting at Alex James’s farm in the country, the team will head around the UK giving listeners the chance to win up to £10,000 each day.

That’s all for this week but keep an ear out for these crackers:

    • Someone’s done it in the toilet
    • Nun farts chocolate
    • Billy the cage fighter

    Enjoy!

  • Chris is back, Eric Idle and Dom’s Comedy Set #511
    Sep 5 2025

I have to praise you like a shoe!

Welcome back to the Chris Moyles Show on Radio X Podcast.

Things returned to normal this week as Chris was home from Ibiza and back in the driving seat on Monday morning. It was a cracker of a week with a few games here and there, an iconic guest and of course, lots of silly moments.

The legendary Eric Idle joined the team for a chat this week covering a range of topics from John Cleese to The Rutles. He also promoted his upcoming UK tour that features a virtual band, singalongs, humorous stories from his career and some rare footage from over the years.

Dom was fresh from the stage, as we got highlights from his recent stand-up show! For his second ever set, he was asked to do 5 minutes for the Rode Comedy Festival, and it was at 18 minutes he realised he needed to wrap it up!

In a hilarious feature this week, listeners messaged in for our Stupid Amnesty with things they learned embarrassingly late in life… such as one listener who discovered that gherkins are, and have always been, cucumbers!

Well, you read all of that did you? I guess you want some more, so here it is…

    • Spinal Tap Review
    • Misheard songs
    • North South divide

  • Toby Tarrant sits in with Daniel Mays, The Whitehalls, and Chris from Hayes Bowls Club #510
    Aug 29 2025

    Get your Supoon out.

Welcome back to the Chris Moyles Show on Radio X Podcast.

Daniel Mays joined us in the studio to talk about The Thursday Murder Club film. With a bumper cast featuring Dames and Sirs, he talked about his experience on set, and also told us what happened when he met Liam Gallagher in the woods.

Michael and Hilary Whitehall (aka The Wittering Whitehalls) woke up early on Friday morning to chat to us via Zoom. Hilary told us about the last time she met Toby, Michael complained about the studio’s dress code, and we heard all about their upcoming live tour.

On the eve of Dom’s set at the Rode Comedy festival, organiser Jarred Christmas gave Dom a few final words of encouragement.

Plus, Toby and Dom got a bit jealous that Dame Ellen MacArthur had a new dinosaur species named after her, so they set about to find someone that could name something after them. As it turns out, the best they could find was some new Combi Boilers at a Bowls Club in London.

If you’re well behaved, we’ll sprinkle in these extras for ya…

    • Dom gets his glock out
    • Amanda Holden’s Tequila and Taco night
    • Round 2 of Producer John’s game

    Enjoy!

    Aug 22 2025

    What’s your favourite water creature?

Welcome back to the Chris Moyles Show on Radio X Podcast.

This week could have been one of the greatest weeks of radio ever. Until all of our guests cancelled… But that didn’t stop us from talking to some of the biggest names in entertainment! We’d already prepared questions for Mark Hamill, Dame Helen Mirren, and Pierce Brosnan, so why not get some of our listeners to pretend to be the celebs and answer the questions?

As you may have seen in the Daily Star, Toby got into a spot of bother over the weekend when he accidentally hit someone with a golf ball. Once you find out who he hit and what they were doing at the time, you’ll understand why this story made national headlines…

Also, on the day that thousands of students were anxiously waiting to receive their GCSE results, we put Dom through a slightly different examination. Spoiler alert: he did NOT like the results.

You want more yummy yummy content? Chow down on THIS:

    • Toby finds out he’s divorced and dead
    • Dom gets a taste of power
    • We go highbrow with some ‘beautiful’ poetry

  • Jamie Carragher, Harriet Kemsley, and The Booze Agents #508
    Aug 15 2025

See you at the bungalow, Captain!

Welcome back to the Chris Moyles Show on Radio X Podcast.

Ahead of the Premier League starting back up again, Jamie Carragher joined the team to talk about his predictions for the season. With Leeds being promoted into the league, and Liverpool reigning champions, Chris and Dom had quite a few questions for him!

Harriet Kemsley was the latest comedian to come on the show and share her advice for Dom, whose performance at the Rode Comedy Festival grows worryingly closer by the week. She told Dom that one of the best ways to prepare for a comedy gig is to write material. This may sound obvious, but then again this is Dom we’re talking about.

Instead of ‘who are you?’, this week we asked our mystery guest ‘what are you doing?’. Quite cruelly, Dom was the only one in the studio who didn’t know, which made for some fun (awkward) listening.

Also this week, we were introduced to Captain’s girlfriend, who turned out to be a little bit older than we were expecting… Plus, Dom explained how he stays cool at home with the help of a woman named Janine!

Oh, you’re still reading? Erm… ok… here’s some other stuff that’s in the podcast this week:

    • Chris’ farts have moved
    • Dom is confronted about his weather forecasting skills
    • Necker Island is off the cards

    Enjoy!

Alex Albon, Sara Pascoe, and Willy Tickle #507

Warning: this podcast is not suitable for listeners of the Scottish persuasion. Listener discretion is advised.

Welcome back to the Chris Moyles Show on Radio X Podcast.

On the first day of his summer break, F1 driver Alex Albon sat down with the team to talk about how the season is going so far, and also revealed that he didn’t know how many gears his car has. Luckily, his boss wasn’t listening. Only joking, his boss was listening, and even messaged in.. Oops!

Sara Pascoe took some time out of her busy schedule to join us on the show, sharing some words of advice with Dom ahead of his upcoming set at the Rode Comedy Festival. We’ll have to wait and see if Dom takes any of that advice on board. Place your bets now…

Also this week, Willy Tickle met Da Boss. Plus, a listener sent in some traditional Scottish headwear, which obviously meant that everyone had to put it on and do a Scottish accent. Or at least I think that’s what they were doing.

But that, dear listener, is not all:

    • We crash the Uber app
    • Dom struggles with technology
    • Adam Brown can’t do radio

    Enjoy!
