When people say "it was a simpler time" it's probably being followed up by something pretty racist, but not in this episode! Our "simpler time" is all the way back in the 1990's, when Spice Girls roamed the Earth and dirty flannels were a fashion statement and the world hadn't been flooded in the pessimism that came with the explosion of the internet. Listen along as we discuss what the 90's meant for us from the perspective of someone who lived them from the beginning to someone who only caught the tail end. Enjoy. -C

Everyone's got an opinion. Some you might agree with or some you might disagree with. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but some things that are so objectively bad that everyone can agree it's not a good product. Sometimes something comes along that is so bad it ends up making a complete 180 and becomes beloved for how bad it is. That's what we're tackling today. Movies so bad they're good. The cinematic version of a seeing Yoko Ono in concert, something so unbelievably bad that the novelty is what kept us coming back for more. Enjoy.-C

Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. 1903. Two brothers created an invention that would completely change the world forever. Orville and Wilbur Wright's new mode of transportation made it possible to travel anywhere in the world in a fraction of the time it would take any other way. Somewhere between then and now we've lost the appreciation for flight and everything that goes along with it. This episode we get into our experiences on planes and in airports that show we, as a human race, haven't evolved all that much. All the main character wannabes, all the seat-spiller-overers, and generally unpleasant people get called out. It's a short one, easy to knock out in a single sitting so sit back and let us vent about how ridiculous air travel has become. Enjoy. -C

Some of life's greatest moments can come from a misunderstanding. There's also times where a misunderstanding can expose you for the fool you are. This episode we discuss some of our most bafflingly misunderstood songs. Maybe you're looking for a first dance at your wedding and you chose a song discussing the fact that no matter what you do it'll never work out or you need that perfect song for your 4th of July playlist that gets everybody yelling "USA!" while pumping their fist in the air and you picked a tune about sending the poor to fight in a war they had no hand in and coming back to be hated by the people they risked their lives for. Listen and take notes so you don't fall into any of those traps. Enjoy. -C

Editorial Note: I realized while editing that the AC was causing a lot of interference for about the first 18 minutes, sorry about that. Tried my best to alleviate as much as I could. Definitely tough it out, this is a good one all the way through.

P.S. I know I messed up the intro for the Alaskan Bull Worm, it's scary not hairy. It will haunt me until my dying day. Please find it in your heart to forgive me. If you can't, I'll understand, but know that you'll be letting go of the greatest thing that ever happened to you.

How many times have you seen a guy in a thing and thought "I know I've seen him somewhere, but I can't remember where." and ended up going from film to film to film to cameo on a tv show to music video just because your curiosity got the best of you? What about that time you wanted to start a brand new project, had everything in your Amazon cart just waiting for you to buy, and it just ended up sitting in there until you decided to do something completely different and shoved everything into your overflowing "Save for Later" list? Ever found an interesting article that needed to load one page at a time to serve you as many ads as possible? Well, my friend, you have fallen into a doomscrolling loop. A 21st century form of ADHD that has a much stronger hold on your life than you'd like to admit. This episode we get into the good, the bad, and the ugly of everyone's favorite accidental pastime. Surprisingly, it's not all bad, just depends on how conscious you are of it happening. Sit back, have a listen, and hear us talk it all out and find out where we land.

Pro Tip: If you're scrolling on TikTok and realize your legs are asleep, stand up, flush, and go do something a little more productive.

    Enjoy. - C

When is the last time you went somewhere just because you wanted to? When is the last time you felt the call of the wild and decided to chase it down? When is the last time you thought about the exhilaration you could be experiencing by looking out of a Pizza Hut window and seeing the Great Pyramids of Giza? This episode we dive into solo traveling and everything that goes into it. The pros and cons, the must haves and must avoids, weighing whether it would be better to encounter a bear or a shark and, just to round it all out, even throw in some ideas for what to do with your body after you die. All culminating in the idea that if you want to go somewhere or see something, you only get so many opportunities before your dust is getting scattered at Disney World. Enjoy- C

Sorry for the hiatus, there's been lots going on behind the scenes at Cash Exchange HQ! You know what hasn't changed? Our love for parodies. Whether it's Weird Al's transformative takes on popular music, comedic masterpieces like "The 41 Year Old Virgin Who Knocked Up Sarah Marshall And Felt Superbad About It", or Vin Diesel being a caricature of an actual human being, we welcome them in all shapes and sizes.

Side-note: This episode was recorded January 18th, the night of the TikTok ban. You get to experience my immediate reaction to losing TikTok and the roller coaster of emotions that came after all in real time.

Join us as we pay homage to people who can take a thing and make a whole new thing, see how much control that stupid app has over my life, and hear my plan to manifest myself into fame and fortune. Hope you enjoy! -C
