Conversations between dad and daughter about managing the most out of life with his stage IV cancer. No affiliation with the Butterfly Pavilion itself and this is not intended as medical advice as we (Ty and Nikki) don't even play a doctor on TV.

Happy to have two good friends Ty met through Twitter (X) of all places while going through his long Covid journey. Two feisty Canadian women who hosted a spirited weekly Twitter (X) audio space to amplify education and open conversations on public health, human rights, and clean air - and who have continued their advocacy well beyond Twitter (X).

Thousands would join live and ten's of thousands would listen to their recorded spaces. As cancer disrupted Ty's life, their relationship became a true friendship with many comfort gifts from Toronto to Denver.

We cover many topics including some exciting news about their upcoming podcast; ReSisters Podcast: “No Ostriching Here.”! (Because, you know, The ReSisters don’t stick their heads in the sand for anyone.) We cover their advocacy and Ty's, including his "Man in the Robe Productions" long Covid parody videos as part of his Seeking Boston Marathon online presence.

Christine Cooper & MJ Nabuurs were excited to see the return of "guess the movie quotes." Nikki spreads awareness on National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month.

We love this episode - hope you will too!

Footnote: We fully support an individual's right to protect themselves against Covid whether that's masking, clean air, or various degrees of isolation measures. With cancer and long Covid, Ty's experiences outside the home are limited and often met with "crashes" that can last 4-5 days. We believe in "finding light in darkness" however little that experience may be. Some days that's harder than others to achieve.

Ty's long Covid journey started in early 2020 with a mild onset of Covid but within six weeks, he could no longer run. He endured a 100 day fever that year that lead to a long medical journey seeking answers at National Jewish Health, Mayo Clinic, and RTHM Long Covid Clinic. His long Covid diagnosis includes damage to his body; neuropathy, vasculitis, endothelial and mitochondria damage, blood clots, and inflammation. With a broken immune system his oncology team said that it either caused or exacerbated his stage IV cancer.
