    ANOTHER TEEN DYSTOPIA

This time Chelsea dives into a book she has never read before. Cities on wheels eating each other? What could possibly happen here! The book is filled with whimsical words, fantastic world building and...a lot of death. In this violent and apocalyptic society, how can two children stop nuclear war? Listen and find out

Just a heads-up - if any similarities exist between our podcast and others seem a little too close for comfort, we promise it’s purely coincidental! We’re just here to discuss something we are passionate about and share our own unique take on the world of adaptations. Any resemblance to other podcasts is absolutely unintentional, we have taken a vow to remain chaste, and by that I mean, we do not consume any content that has even a *whisper* of being close to what we do. And we hope you will enjoy the ride with us!

Mr. Knightley is her biggest hater and is the only person in her life to ever admit Emma has some faults. We may also discuss some of those faults here today!! Join us as we discuss the 2020 film adaptation and try not get nosebleeds when something we don't like happens.

  • The Book Watchers Club - Holes
    Aug 22 2025

You've got to go and dig those holesssssssss

If you are 90s babies like us you may remember picking up Holes by Louis Sachar at the Scholastic Book Fair. If you are anything at all like Chelsea, you still own the original hardcover from said Book Fair. You may also remember a cutie little show called Even Stevens with an up and coming actor named Shia LaBeouf. Despite being nothing like the physical description of Stanley Yelnats, Shia was cast in the adaptation of Holes. Both the book and film are surprisingly dark...Let's talk about it while not getting bit by a Yellow Spotted Lizard.
