On Saturday the 6th of December, birders will be racing across different parts of the country, trying to see as many species as possible in just 24 hours. It’s a day that’s not only packed with fun and excitement, but also contributes meaningfully to the vital conservation work done by BirdLife South Africa.

More importantly, you’ll get practical tips and advice on how to maximise your bird count—straight from some of the country’s top-performing teams.
