  • The APP: Cleo Fields
    Nov 12 2025

The most recent edition of the KTBS-TV political podcast “The APP – ArkLaTex People and Politics” is now available online. This episode of The APP features Louisiana’s 6th District Congressman Cleo Fields.

Recorded just a few days before what looks like the probable ending of the federal government shutdown, Congressman Fields discusses his views on the shutdown, SNAP benefits, extension of the Affordable Care Act subsidies, and the passage of a “clean” continuing resolution to finance the government for an additional seven weeks—giving negotiators time to work out the funding bills necessary to keep the government open on a permanent basis.

Cleo Fields also talks about Louisiana’s redistricting case now under consideration by the United States Supreme Court; his thoughts on how that might come out; and his belief in how the Supreme Court justices might rule.

The APP is produced and hosted by KTBS-TV news anchor Jeff Beimfohr, and is available on all major podcast platforms, as well as all KTBS-TV digital platforms.
