  • Episode 39: Healing Ulcerative Colitis with the Same Protocol I Use for Introducing Solids
    Nov 29 2025

I was so excited to have one of mine and my husband's dear friends, Trey Douyon, on the podcast this week. Trey was the videographer for our wedding, and we immediately vibed — his energy, creativity, and heart are truly unmatched.
In this episode, Trey shares his powerful healing journey with ulcerative colitis and how he used the GAPS protocol to completely transform his gut health. From former party boy to wellness leader in his Miami community, his story is raw, inspiring, and full of hope.
We also talk about how the same gut-healing principles that helped Trey go into remission are the ones I use when introducing solids to my baby — because a sick gut and a developing gut actually have a lot in common.
If you or someone you love struggles with gut issues, chronic inflammation, or autoimmune symptoms, this episode is a must-listen. I know his story will encourage and inspire so many. You can follow along with Trey's journey on his personal Instagram page: https://www.instagram.com/treydouyon/

  • Episode 37: Kelsey Botti From KB Wellness
    Nov 16 2025

This week, I was so excited to have Kelsey Botti from KB Physical Therapy join me to share her story about living with Celiac disease and managing POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome).

POTS has been on the rise since COVID, yet so many people still struggle to get a proper diagnosis — something Kelsey knows firsthand. What I love most about her story is how she turned her biggest challenges into her purpose. Through her own healing journey, she was inspired to open a physical therapy practice that specializes in helping POTS patients regain strength, stability, and confidence.

Not only does she have a location here in Pittsburgh, but she also designed an app to help people with POTS all over the world.

  • Episode 36: How I Am Taking Care of Myself Postpartum
    May 13 2025

About 3 months out when recording and will be 4 months or so when this is live.
Prioritizing low effort, high impact tasks that make me feel good like making sure all the dishes are done before I go to bed, making my bed everyday, wearing clothes that make me feel good and setting aside the stuff that currently doesn't fit me.
    Working out, yet prioritizing sleep.
Ensuring I eat nutrient dense meals, and taking my supplements. We still need prenatals even when we are postpartum. I love the company WeNatal. I am incorporating organ meats in my diet as well as taking an organ meat supplement to help my energy and replenish nutrients. I love this supplement!
Keeping an open calendar on the weekend.

  • Episode 34: Are Food Sensitivity Tests Worth It? Plus, The Hidden Signs of Underlying Food Sensitivities
    Apr 29 2025

When I first started my healing journey I did a food sensitivity test and it came back I was sensitive to over 100 foods! What I found was that if you struggle with leaky gut (which most of us do) those tests will never come back completely accurate. In this episode I talk about what I did instead to figure out what I was truly sensitive to and guess what, it is free! I put together a FREE swap guide to with my top better for you swaps that are all dairy free, gluten free, soy free, and alcohol free. Those are always the 4 main food groups I suggest eliminating to start if doing all 8 is too overwhelming. • Episode 32: How to Feel Amazing Around the Holidays
    Nov 22 2023

The holidays are my favorite time of the year! For years it was also the most stressful time of the year because I always feared what I was going to eat at celebrations. The thing is when you make diet and lifestyle changes from a place of doing what you need to do to feel in alignment with how you want to feel, you do not want to jeopardize feeling good. I always pack food and treats to take with me and share with others when I am celebrating with friends or family. For me, it is not worth it to eat something that I know doesn't make me feel my best. In order for me to show up as my best, I have to give my body the best! On this week's episode we talk about how to navigate the holidays and how to feel your best during one of the best times of the year.

  • Episode 31: Balancing a Lower Toxic Lifestyle
    Nov 16 2023

When it comes to making healthier choices it comes down to balance. There are absolutely some things I cannot be flexible with-I need to avoid certain foods because they make me so sick. But there are other things that I can still enjoy on occasion that do not make me sick and I allow myself to eat-like the occasional french fries when I am out. This week's episode is all about balance. Be sure to check out Thrive Market which is my go to place for all of my healthier swaps. Use my code ALLIANNA and save $$$ on your first order.
