    Clare Lowenau:
"I’m a girl from the Bronx, who married my blind date that I met while in high school while he was graduating from NYU. We eventually landed up living in Beverly Hills & after some life had passed, he took me to a Buddhist meeting. I then remarried another SGI Buddhist and we had a beautiful daughter. Little did I know what we would face when she turned 21 when she was diagnosed with schizophrenia, so our lives changed forever.

    Claire used her Buddhist chanting of Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo (and her courage) for her daughter to live a good life." https://www.facebook.com/lowenau @clarelowenau #tellmeeverythingwithsusandamante #spotify #spotifyforpodcasters #amazonpodcast #applepodcasts #overcomingadversity #susandamante #schizophrenia

  • Tell Me Everything with Susan Damante and Dorothy Sinclair Part Two
    Nov 8 2023

On this episode, Part 2, Dorothy shares her secret to living towards 100 and Hyperthyroidism.

Susan has a deep dialogue with now 97 years young Dorothy Sinclair about her interesting life and how she has overcome adversity and lived almost a century... tune in, be encouraged and laugh with us!

    About Dorothy Sinclair:

Growing up in Chicago before World War II, it seemed that every little girl was expected to take either dancing or piano lessons, so she began Dramatic Art lessons at four. Growing up she tackled roles in Rudolf Steiner’s play, The Barretts of Wimpole Street, thus making her debut as a monologist. “Oh, Robert, Robert,” I cried, as Elizabeth Barrett. And then (in my deep baritone) as Robert Browning: “Elizabeth, please don’t leave me!”

Before beginning college, she had already broken into radio with a few commercials and a line here and there on a “soap." At sixteen, she started as a freshman at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, and life was never the same. After graduating with a B.A. and fleeing to New York where she continued studying theatre she settled in the the San Fernando Valley in California. After working a few gigs on television it convinced her to continue her work writing and performing one-woman shows. She went back to college, emerging three years later with a Masters Degree in Theatre Arts from UCLA. She acts occasionally with Theatre Neo, and in the prestigious Beverly Hills professional company, Theatre Forty, where she has played such plum roles as Ruth in Collected Stories, Sophie in Social Security, Maman in Uncle Vanya, and Dorothy in Twigs, and best of all, the one-woman play, Rose.
