  • clairo boys & performative men
    Aug 12 2025

In episode 101 of Telepathy, Enzo and Anna are giving you the Clairo men 101. They define the newly popular term, "metrosexual," and discuss the rise in performative men. From riding the escalator with feminist literature in your left hand and a matcha latte in your right, Telepathy analyzes the recent tendency to appeal to the "female gaze" to attract women. Enzo and Anna also criticize narrow gender roles where black coffee is apparently masculine and a matcha latte is feminine? Though a "Clairo boy" may be a playful term on social media, this term raises many concerns for Telepathy, resulting in 40-minute discussion.

    Jul 29 2025

It’s episode 99, and we are so back. Yes, that’s right, it’s our first yass or pass episode in a bit. This time we are talking about movies. Enzo and Anna are Letterboxd aficionados and fans of all things broadway and camp when it comes to movies. Although they have similar taste, it’s put to the test in this episode. Anna discusses her love for the movie Frozen, while Enzo considers whether it’s worth the hype. The two also discuss the talk of a new Ratatoullie movie on the horizon, and opinions on how that will be. Play along and see if you agree with us on these takes!

  • evolve or flop... the youtubers of the 2010s
    Jul 22 2025

For episode 98 of Telepathy, Enzo and Anna step back in time to break down the evolution of the 2010s’ most famous YouTubers. When the “saturation era” ended, many content creators pivoted by rebranding with vlog channels, TV shows, podcasts, etc. Many saw a decline in views, while other channels sky-rocketed. Other YouTubers quit their social media careers all around. What are they doing now, you may ask? Well…let’s say they may or may not be posting about their rich husbands and designer bags. Other influencers, such as James Charles, have tried to seamlessly shift their brand despite VERY serious allegations, and Telepathy is here to examine why audiences so easily fall for these PR stunts. With the names of Sierra Furtado, Bethany Mota, Alisha Marie, Remi Cruz, Emma Chamberlain, Ryan Trahan, and Haley Pham, Enzo and Anna are prepared to discuss many of their favs and some of their…past favs.

  • how to survive high school
    Jul 17 2025

As Enzo joins Anna as a high school grad, they decide to spill all of their best (take this lightly) advice to anyone currently in the trenches. While you’re in high school, it may sometimes feel impossible to survive. But alas, Anna is here to bring you the comfort in knowing that, as a college grad, high school feels like a distant memory. The two co-hosts also discuss their regrets in high school. Could Anna have been a theater kid in another life? Enzo also gives all the tea on how to deal with friendships throughout the years, and how to communicate in difficult times. If you’re in high school, this is the episode for you (and if you’ve already graduated, time to reminisce.) Episode 97 is out on all streaming platforms!

  • the ethics of true crime
    Jul 8 2025

When adapting a novel into a film or TV show, the creative team may add new details or create fictional characters to enhance the story. But, what if the film is based on a real serial killer? What if they cast a conventionally attractive lead actor? In episode 96 of Telepathy, Enzo and Anna dive into true-crime content and the ethics behind this niche. With the rise of true-crime podcasts and serial killer TV shows, they felt it was necessary to discuss the gray area between a fictional drama and a very real, cold-blooded murder. Enzo and Anna also analyze graphic video games, the use of blood & gore for entertainment, and the overall impact of desensitizing violence. Finally, they mention the problematic acts of profiting from traumatic events and the unsettling label of a “crime-junkie.”

  • "what do you want to be when you grow up?"
    Jul 1 2025

Have you ever been asked, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” Perhaps your answer remains the same, or maybe your dream job has undergone a complete transformation over the years. For episode 95 of Telepathy, Enzo and Anna reflect on this question and discuss the possible consequences of teaching kids to choose a specific career to view as an endpoint. In typical Telepathy fashion, they turn to La La Land to reveal the most valuable life lessons. Why is giving up on our dreams often considered a part of “growing up?” Enzo explains how following your passions or a creative pursuit can be a privilege in a world where we must find careers that allow for a stable financial life. Anna also opens up about her graphic design origin story and how she hopes to grow as a creator in the professional world.

  • feminism in pop music
    Jun 24 2025

For episode 94 of Telepathy, Enzo and Anna decide to rebrand for season 3 with a new layout and cover! Speaking of cover…Enzo and Anna decided it was time to discuss Sabrina Carpenter’s new album artwork. Her 7th studio album references the concept of a “Man’s Best Friend,” meaning a man and his dog (?). As usual, the internet got bored, so they decided to debate whether Sabrina Carpenter is making an artistic choice for a conceptual album or if she is setting feminism back “many years.” Enzo and Anna analyze feminism in pop music, exploring its evolution and the standards to which pop artists should be held. They talk about how many women in music are highly scrutinized for creativity and how an era of “literalism” may be on the rise.
