Pastor Claude Stauffer, a frequent guest on Stand Up wrote a post last week entitled "Words Matter" - and the more we thought about it, and the Word made flesh, the more we came to realize just how significant last week's events have become. What does the Bible say about a world full of words - both lies and truth? About the tongue in James 3? About Gamaliel's wisdom in Acts 5? There are so many ways we can take what happened and sharpen our witness, become more soberminded about our social media presence, and give God an opportunity to work among us based on HIS word, not man's word. Man's word shapes every cult and false teaching. Satan said "Hath God said?" by Genesis 3. And so much more we can say about this. Join us for a biblical take on our current dilemma of too many words, and sin is not far behind. (Prov 10:19) Let's choose our words carefully, to give life to the hearer.
