This podcast is a part of MASH Impact's campaign on the 16 Days of Activism. It aims to unpack the nuances (or the lack of) in our discourse about disability, and the institutions that hold the capability to perpetuate ableism. Our speaker, Candice D'Souza, a queer affirmative therapist who lives with cerebral palsy, highlights the ways in which disability is outcasted in the society, and how we can be more affirmative and accessible in shaping up our institutions.

#SpeakUpWithPride is an initiative by MASH where we provide a platform to influencers, change makers, individuals who believe in the cause of an important group in our society, LGBTQI+ and want to voice their opinions.

As a part of a collaboration between MASH Project Foundation and Khud Se Pooche, we had the honour to launch a podcast with Rudrani Chhetri, a transwoman and activist, and a member of the Mitr Trust, and Rahul Dhurve, #BaateinUnlocked ambassador on the topic of dignified healthcare.

This very special and insightful conversation highlights multiple issues the LGBTQIA+ community faces in India, especially in terms of healthcare, resources, and opportunities. We deep dive into the real-life struggles faced by trans* people and how the ongoing prejudice deeply impacts the community.
