    El Día de Reyes (6 de enero) es una celebración importante en Latinoamérica que marca el fin de la Navidad, donde los niños esperan regalos de Melchor, Gaspar y Baltasar, a quienes dejan zapatos y ofrendas, y la tradición central es compartir la Rosca de Reyes (un pan dulce) con familia, mientras en algunos lugares se hacen cabalgatas y desfiles, manteniendo viva la conexión con las raíces hispanas. Los niños dejan sus zapatos la noche del 5 de enero con pasto y agua para los camellos, y a la mañana siguiente encuentran regalos. El Día de Reyes se origina en la tradición cristiana, conmemorando la Epifanía: la visita de los Reyes Magos al Niño Jesús en Belén, 13 días después de su nacimiento, para adorarlo y entregarle oro, incienso y mirra como símbolos de su realeza, divinidad y humanidad. Esta celebración, que simboliza la manifestación de Jesús a todos los pueblos, se popularizó en el Imperio Romano y se consolidó en la Edad Media, adoptando tradiciones como la entrega de regalos a los niños en países hispanos. Comunidades hispanas en EE. UU.: Mantienen la tradición como forma de conexión cultural, con roscas y celebraciones familiares.

Constituye una fuente de ingresos clave para Panamá a través de los peajes que se cobran a los barcos que pasan por el canal. La construcción del Canal de Panamá representó una monumental hazaña de ingeniería que exigió superar importantes retos, como un terreno accidentado, densas selvas tropicales y la necesidad de atravesar la divisoria continental. El dólar estadounidense ha sido una de las monedas oficiales de Panamá durante más de un siglo. Su uso se remonta a principios del siglo XX, durante la construcción del Canal de Panamá, cuando se convirtió en la moneda preferida dentro de la Zona del Canal de Panamá. Ciudad de Panamá, la vibrante capital de Panamá, está rodeada de verdes reservas naturales y espacios verdes. El Parque Nacional Metropolitano, de aproximadamente 232 hectáreas dentro de los límites de la ciudad, destaca por ser uno de los pocos parques urbanos del mundo que cuenta con un bosque tropical húmedo. Panamá alberga más de 10.000 especies de plantas, 1.500 de árboles y unas 1.000 de aves, lo que la convierte en un paraíso para los ornitólogos. Sus selvas tropicales están repletas de fauna exótica, como perezosos, monos, jaguares, tapires y un sinfín de reptiles y anfibios. Hay 3 volcanes en Panamá. Entre los volcanes más notables de Panamá están el Volcán Barú, el Volcán de Chiriquí y el Volcán El Valle. El Volcán Barú, situado cerca de la frontera con Costa Rica, en la provincia de Chiriquí, es el pico más alto de Panamá, con una altura aproximada de 3.474 metros. Aunque se considera inactivo más que activo, sigue siendo un importante accidente geológico de la región. Panamá tiene la segunda mayor zona franca del mundo. La Zona Libre de Colón, situada cerca de la ciudad de Colón, en la costa caribeña de Panamá, ocupa más de 1.000 hectáreas y se considera un importante centro de comercio internacional. Como una de las mayores zonas francas del mundo, la ZLC es un motor económico vital para Panamá, que atrae a miles de empresas internacionales y genera importantes ingresos para el país.
