  • The Teens Need Something To Do!
    May 19 2022

    **TW: suicide, abortion, substance abuse**

In this episode, Andee speaks with the gravelly voice of  70-year-old smoker, as she gets over a nasty cold. She and Kamryn discuss building a self-sustaining commune in the wilderness for the whole family to live in. They also comment on Daniel Radcliffe (sext short king) playing Weird Al Yankovic in the upcoming biopic.
They discuss a serious topic regarding women's reproductive health, and Andee's very personal feelings regarding the possible overturning of Roe v Wade. The Sisters feel strongly about de-stigamatizing abortions and STD's, and hope to help normalize conversations about them.
They also talk about how they each received "the sex talk" as children fron their parents, and their personal journeys navigating severe depression, and anxiety throughout their lives.
They relay the importance of giving teens something to do with their time, so they don't have to resort to sex and drugs for recreation.
Kamryn touches on the time she punched a boy in the face at school and got choked out for it.

  • The Tattoo episode
    Apr 26 2022

*do not attempt to DIY tattoo. Extra precautions were taken to ensure sanitation*

Try to ignore the tapping sound. There was nothing I could do about it and re-recording wasn't an option for this episode.

On a very special Sister Sister, Andee and Kamryn record this episode while tattooing each other with Andee's machine.
Andee shares her history with tattooing, and the Sisters talk about The Goonies, The 10th Kingdom, and Jeff Goldblum. Kamryn asks Andee about her experiences as the oldest child and she discusses some of the psychology of being first-born.

  • Movie Night: The Singles Ward
    Apr 4 2022

Today Andee and Kamryn watch and talk about a movie that they watched and loved almost every Sunday growing up, the classic Mormon comedy, The Singles Ward (directed by Kurt Hale in 2002).

After sitting down to watch the movie for the first time in 13 years, the Sisters break down the plot of the movie and discuss it. If you aren't super familiar with Mormon culture, they do their best to explain their favorite jokes and plot points.

If this piques your interest or you want to better understand this episode, you can watch The Singles Ward on the LDS streaming service LivingScriptures.com, they offer a 30 day free trial.

  • Broken Shelves
    Mar 27 2022

(headphones recommended, Kammy is a little quiet)
This week the Sisters welcome their first guest... The middle Korth sister, Maddy!
The three girls sit down to talk about their individual experiences with growing up in the Mormon church, and leaving it.
They chat about living with all the transplants in Denver and what it means to be a Colorado Native, they discuss the "shelf items" that led to each of them to doubt the church, they try to define "professional modesty", and they question which of the four grown Korth kids will have a kid first.
They also mention the time our brother gored a sleeping young Maddy with a spatula, alternate realities, and superhero movies (mainly the new Spiderman).
They finish with what they are grateful for having grown up LDS, despite what harm it did cause.

    *this podcast contains explicit content*

This week the Korth Girls talk about the technology they emerged from. They talk about their first experiences with the internet and phones, they compare social networks used throughout their youths, and brainstorm how to make social media better by bringing back old school Myspace (minus the top 8), returning insta feeds to chronological order, and getting rid of Facebook entirely.
They talk about early exposure to porn and NSFW content thanks to things like blue waffle and two girls one cup.
And they discuss the internet videos that made them who they are from Homestar Runner to the extremely problematic Shane Dawson.
