So…Everyone and their mum at this point knows the five love languages. 78% of you confidently answered a resounding YES on my insta poll when I asked if you had one. Now, if you’ve ever considered for a single second that you have a sex language - and as my Instagram poll tells me - 68% of you feel like you do - then here’s where things go off the rails a bit…because when it comes to sex: People assume that your love language = your sex language. Like, if you’re a 'physical touch' person, you must want sex all the time. If it’s 'words of affirmation' then you surely want a constant slew of dirty texts telling you how hot you are. But…No. Absolutely not…your love language and sex language are not one and the same. Your love language explains how you give and receive love. It does NOT explain how you get turned on, what opens your body, what shuts you down, or what makes sex feel good, connected, or exciting for you. What most people need - is an understanding of their sex language. The way you erotically connect. The style of intimacy that gets you open, excited, responsive, and ready. Because if you and your partner aren’t speaking the same sex language…you might not ‘incompatible’ after all, you might just be lost in pene-translation. Anyway… today, we’re getting fluent.
