Do you have friendships but still feel lonely, unseen, or not truly known?

If so — you’re not alone.

Welcome to Spirit Filled Girl Talk — the podcast for modern Christian women hungry for faith over fear, authentic Sisterhood that calls you up (not out), Kingdom purpose, a deeper relationship with God, and discipleship for faith-based living. Each episode is a Spirit-led conversation that helps you:
✨ Experience deeper faith and intimacy with God in your everyday life.
✨ Trade striving for surrender — to release control and experience the peace that comes when we trust God fully and walk in obedience.
✨ Cultivate life-giving, Biblical friendship and Sisterhood rooted in Jesus.
✨ Start hearing from God more and walk boldly in your God-given purpose with joy and courage.
✨ Learn to have bold faith and stand firm in Biblical truth — without becoming harsh or judgmental.

If you’ve been craving discipleship that feels both real and Spirit-filled… you’ve found your people.

We are Sarah Phillipe and Satin Pelfrey — two best friends turned co-hosts, brought together by the Holy Spirit and refined through our own seasons of striving, exhaustion, and spiritual dryness.

We get it — because we’ve been there too.

There was a time when we were exhausted from trying to be perfect women of faith — checking the boxes, doing “all the right things,” but still feeling spiritually disconnected. We believed productivity equaled purpose and that busyness was obedience — until God showed us the beauty of surrender.

Everything changed when we stopped performing for God and started walking with Him. He restored our peace, deepened our faith, and surrounded us with Spirit-filled sisterhood. We have truly been discipled by our friendship. Now, we’re inviting you into those same meaningful conversations — the kind that lead to true restoration, renewed identity in Christ, and lasting transformation.

We're here to help you — to live wholly, walk boldly, and fulfill your God-given purpose with Jesus at the center of it all. Every episode is a mix of biblical wisdom, authentic friendship, and powerful encouragement to help you live Christ-centered — not culturally-driven. Whether you’re navigating marriage, motherhood, career, or calling, you’ll find a safe space to grow in faith and wholeness right here.

So pour your coffee, open your heart, and pull up a seat. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and you’ll walk away filled — not just inspired — with truth that transforms.

Because this isn’t small talk.
It’s Spirit Filled Girl Talk.

  • Feeling Judged? How to Deal with Mean Girls & Find Your Identity in Christ with Caroline Shankle
    Nov 12 2025

Have you ever felt excluded, unseen, or misunderstood — even by other women of faith? Maybe you’ve faced gossip, judgment, or silent competition in friendships and wondered, “How do I handle this with grace and still protect my heart?”

In this empowering and faith-filled episode of Spirit Filled Girl Talk, hosts Sarah Phillipe and Satin Pelfrey sit down with author and speaker Caroline Shankle to talk about courage, comparison, and identity in Christ when friendships get hard.

Caroline shares her own story of rejection and bullying as a teen, how God met her in heartbreak, and how those experiences inspired her devotional, The Lion and the Bear. Drawing from 1 Samuel 17, she reminds us that before David faced Goliath, he first fought “the lion and the bear” — and just like David, every trial we face is preparing us for something greater.

You’ll hear biblical truth and practical wisdom for both teen girls and moms navigating today’s social-media-driven culture, where comparison, competition, and insecurity run rampant. From learning how to create safe spaces for honest conversation to recognizing the God who sees (El Roi), this conversation is filled with encouragement, laughter, and reminders that your identity, worth, and purpose come from Jesus alone.

💬 In This Episode, You’ll Learn:

    • How to navigate rejection, gossip, and comparison with grace and spiritual maturity

    • Why identity in Christ is the foundation for confidence and courage

    • How to discern when to create healthy boundaries or lean into reconciliation

    • What it means to surrender emotional wounds to God and walk in His peace

    • How faith growth often happens through relational challenges and spiritual refinement

    ✨ Key Takeaways:

    • You’re not defined by who left you out — you’re chosen, seen, and loved by God.

    • Surrender to God transforms insecurity into strength and comparison into calling.

    • Faith flourishes when you trust God to defend your heart and direct your relationships.

🕊️ Who This Is For: Christian women — from teen girls to moms — If you or someone you love has ever felt unseen, excluded, or uninvited — this episode will remind you that God is using your battles to build your bravery.
