• What I learned from these 13 Bible women
    Dec 2 2025

In this final episode of my Invisible Women of the Bible series, I’m looking back at the thirteen Bible women whose stories have quietly shaped my faith this past year. As I revisit women like Ruth and Naomi, Hagar, Deborah, Jael, Hannah, Abigail, the widow of Zarephath, Martha, Shiprah and Puah, Jochebed and Tabitha, I’ve been surprised by how deeply their journeys have spoken into my own.

I’m sharing what I’ve learned from each woman — how their stories have met me in grief, transition, uncertainty and hope. Somewhere in the middle of all of it, God began to show me four things about how He sees me. Those four truths have changed the way I understand His heart for ordinary Christian women like you and me who are just trying to live out our faith in real life.

If you’re looking for encouragement, deeper spiritual growth, or simply to feel seen and heard by God again, this reflection on the women of the Bible may be exactly what you have been waiting for.

  • Does God See You?
    Nov 18 2025

Have you ever wondered what God really sees when He looks at you? Not the version that holds it all together — but the real, tired, faithful you. The one who keeps showing up when no one else seems to notice.

In this heartfelt episode, Jen opens her heart about what it means to be truly seen by God. Through the stories of women who felt invisible and forgotten, we begin to glimpse a different kind of love — one that notices the quiet moments, the hidden faith, the prayers whispered when no one is listening.

Maybe you’ve compared yourself to others and wondered why you weren’t made softer, quieter, more like “her.” Maybe you’ve questioned if God could still use you. But what if the very things you see as flaws are the fingerprints of His design?

This is an episode for every woman who’s ever felt unseen — for every daughter of God who needs the reminder that her story still matters. Come listen, and let truth settle deep in your heart: you are known, chosen, and profoundly loved.

Because when God looks at you, He doesn’t see your failures or fears — He sees His masterpiece.

  • When The World Says You're Done - But God Says There's More
    Nov 11 2025

Have you ever wondered if the quiet things you do—the unnoticed kindness, the behind-the-scenes care—actually make a difference? Maybe you’ve spent years serving others, raising kids, supporting family or church, only to find yourself now navigating life after loss, divorce, an empty nest, or simply wondering, What now?

In this episode of Rooted & Resilient, we continue our series on the Invisible Women of the Bible and meet Tabitha—also called Dorcas—a woman in the book of Acts who didn’t preach or stand on platforms, but whose love and care transformed a whole community. She was a disciple in the truest sense: quietly loving well, meeting practical needs, and restoring dignity to those the world had overlooked.

When she died, the women she served wept—not just because they missed her, but because they feared losing the one person who had helped them feel seen.

If you’ve ever felt invisible, or questioned whether your small acts of love matter in the long run, this story will speak right to your heart.

And what happens next? Let’s just say—God didn’t let her story end there.

  • The Power of Quiet Defiance : Shiprah and Puah's Story
    Oct 28 2025

What if the quiet choices you make today could change history tomorrow? In this episode of Rooted & Resilient, we continue our series on the Invisible Women of the Bible and dive into the story of Shiphrah and Puah—two ordinary women who found extraordinary courage when Pharaoh, the most powerful man in Egypt, commanded them to do the unthinkable.

These midwives, women who spent their days bringing life into the world, were told to take life instead. But Shiphrah and Puah feared God more than Pharaoh, and their quiet act of defiance became part of God’s greater plan for Israel’s deliverance. Their story is a powerful reminder that God sees, God honors, and He can use even the smallest acts of faith to make a lasting impact.

If you’re a Christian woman over 50, navigating an empty nest, stepping into new seasons, or longing to rediscover your God-given purpose, this story is especially for you. Like Shiphrah and Puah, you may sometimes feel overlooked or ordinary, but your faith, your obedience, and your courage are never invisible to God.

Rooted & Resilient is a podcast for Christian women who want biblical encouragement, renewed confidence, and a reminder that God isn’t finished with their story yet.
