  • Bruno Esrubilsky - Mitski
    Mar 31 2026

I got an introduction to this week's guest on a Tuesday and recorded the show with him two days later. Love when things come together quickly and happy to share the infectious enthusiasm that Mitski drummer Bruno Esrubilski brings when talking about his 5 year old Miniature Schnauzer Hugo. We get to know Hugo and his grooming habits, whether he'd make his Schnauzer ancestors proud and how an unknown allergy to bees almost cost him the chance to be a big brother to Bruno's newborn son. Plenty of good dog talk from this upbeat drummer.

You can catch Mitski live this week on multiple dates in Los Angeles before the band jets off to the UK, Australia and the Far East in May and July. For dates visit mitski.com/live/

Bruno gave a steadfast shout out to Korean K9 Rescue, a volunteer-driven no-kill dog rescue organization based in Queens and Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, South Korea, who have helped save over 3,500 dogs from dire situations in South Korea where they are transported to the U.S. to have the opportunity to find loving, forever homes in and around New York, Boston and Los Angeles. • Eva Gardner - P!nk, The Mars Volta (Encore Episode)
    Mar 24 2026

This week we're throwing it back to the very beginning. Episode 1 premiered on June 21, 2022 and featured bassist Eva Gardner from P!nk. Eva introduced us to her then 16 year old Shepherd mix Willow who sadly crossed the rainbow bridge a couple weeks after the show posted. We also got to know Willow's soul sister Holly as well as her childhood dogs Nesty, Amber (both Rottweilers) and Boots (Husky). I'm forever grateful for Eva in helping to set this passion project in motion as we make our way towards our 200th episode this Summer.

Eva gave a shout out to Best Friends, a nonprofit organization that operates the nation’s largest sanctuary for homeless animals and provides adoption, spay/neuter, and educational programs. Their "Save Them All" mission aims to give shelters nationwide the support, programs and awareness to achieve no-kill status. To find out the many ways you can make an impact visit bestfriends.org

  • KT Tunstall
    Mar 3 2026

Grammy®-nominated, BRIT Award-winning, Scottish singer songwriter KT Tunstall graces this week's podcast to introduce us to her growing pack of dogs. Her current dog family started with Mini, a 7 year old miniature Pinscher who famously introduced KT to her future husband Chris who was at a dog park with Nova, a 5 year old half Husky, half Eskimo dog. From there they got KT's dream dog Flow, a 2.5 year old Irish Wolfhound, Bran an 8 month old Wolfhound, and charming his way into the family from a neighbors is a Red Heeler appropriately named Otis Reddish. With five dogs comes plenty of stories and insights we were more than happy to be an audience for.

  • Jon Jourdan - Mammoth
    Feb 10 2026

It was a long awaited pleasure to catch up with Mammoth and To Whom It May guitarist Jon Jourdan and get the backgrounds on his past and present crew of pit bulls. We get introduced to his current dog Mucca, a 6 or 7 year old rescued bait dog, and pay tribute to his previous dogs Nelson and Luna who each have their own rescue sagas. We also dive into his Instagram page @tourpups where Jon shares photos of the dogs (aka "angel babies) he meets while touring the world. Great chat from a pit bull advocate we applaud for his patience, dedication and knowledge.
