  • Bruno Esrubilsky - Mitski
    Mar 31 2026

I got an introduction to this week's guest on a Tuesday and recorded the show with him two days later. Love when things come together quickly and happy to share the infectious enthusiasm that Mitski drummer Bruno Esrubilski brings when talking about his 5 year old Miniature Schnauzer Hugo. We get to know Hugo and his grooming habits, whether he'd make his Schnauzer ancestors proud and how an unknown allergy to bees almost cost him the chance to be a big brother to Bruno's newborn son. Plenty of good dog talk from this upbeat drummer.

You can catch Mitski live this week on multiple dates in Los Angeles before the band jets off to the UK, Australia and the Far East in May and July. For dates visit mitski.com/live/

Bruno gave a steadfast shout out to Korean K9 Rescue, a volunteer-driven no-kill dog rescue organization based in Queens and Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, South Korea, who have helped save over 3,500 dogs from dire situations in South Korea where they are transported to the U.S. to have the opportunity to find loving, forever homes in and around New York, Boston and Los Angeles. • Eva Gardner - P!nk, The Mars Volta (Encore Episode)
    Mar 24 2026

This week we're throwing it back to the very beginning. Episode 1 premiered on June 21, 2022 and featured bassist Eva Gardner from P!nk. Eva introduced us to her then 16 year old Shepherd mix Willow who sadly crossed the rainbow bridge a couple weeks after the show posted. We also got to know Willow's soul sister Holly as well as her childhood dogs Nesty, Amber (both Rottweilers) and Boots (Husky). I'm forever grateful for Eva in helping to set this passion project in motion as we make our way towards our 200th episode this Summer.

Eva gave a shout out to Best Friends, a nonprofit organization that operates the nation’s largest sanctuary for homeless animals and provides adoption, spay/neuter, and educational programs. Their "Save Them All" mission aims to give shelters nationwide the support, programs and awareness to achieve no-kill status. To find out the many ways you can make an impact visit bestfriends.org

  • Jordan Olds - Two Minutes To Late Night, Blood Vulture
    Mar 17 2026

This week we welcome to the pod the multi-talented Jordan Olds. Jordan is currently fronting the foreboding metal band Blood Vulture whose debut album, Die Close, came out last summer. Prior to that he struck YouTube gold as Gwarsenio Hall, the host of the twisted heavy metal themed talk show, Two Minutes to Late Night. Jordan introduces us to his dog Jinni, a 10 year old terrier mix whose notable bad breath never gets in the way of her making new human or canine friends. We get into Jinni's scraps with skunks, foster favorites and the surprising influence behind the title track Die Close.

Jordan's shout outs went to the following three great organizations:

Rescue Dogs Rock NYC who don’t just save the easy dogs but focus on saving the more difficult, most urgent and critically injured. To date they've saved over 9,300 dogs. For more info on adopting, fostering, volunteering or other ways to contribute to their lifesaving efforts visit rescuedogsrocknyc.org

Muddy Paws Rescue whose mission is to build and support a thriving community of dog-loving humans dedicated to ending unnecessary euthanasia of companion dogs through shared learning and education, direct lifesaving, and continuous innovation. To adopt, foster, donate or get involved go to muddypawsrescue.org

Your local SPCA which includes Jordan's SPCA Westchester, one of the oldest humane societies in the Unites States today. SPCA Westchester serves more than 5,500 animals a year and is recognized as the largest No-Kill Rescue Center in the County. To adopt, foster, volunteer or utilize their other services go to spcawestchester.org or better yet visit their 27,000-square-foot Animal Rescue Center in Briarcliff Manor, NY.
