Recently, I overheard a coach that I didn’t know saying that her business had been doing well and then over this summer everything came to an abrupt halt.

Prospects weren’t showing up. People stopped opening emails and no body was engaging.

Her income slowed way down, and was totally ready to give up on her business.

And I thought to myself,

“Don’t give up! Instead accelerate and expand your efforts to attract ideal clients.”

Hearing her anxiety made me remember when I was a new coach. Here’s what I realized way down the road…

A coach I worked with kept backsliding.

In session, their certainty would click in.

But a day or two later, that dissolved and in its place was paralyzing overwhelm and doubt.

We’d meet again and their sense of purpose would roll back in. They left the session feeling sure of their direction and ready to take action, only to get stuck in another deep internal struggle.

I remember that lost feeling as a new coach. I didn’t believe that I had what it takes, so I got in my own way.

Comparison was the trigger.

Shame spiraled into this dark story. Their internal dialogue was:

After choosing a niche, the #1 problem coaches face

is attracting enough clients who are able and ready to hire them.

Some days you feel like you’re working so hard

and there’s this sense that no one is out there noticing.

It’s de-motivating to say the least.

There are so many surprising and wonderful ways that clients can find you

IF you are strategic, consistent and speak the language of your audience.

Simple is better. Less is more. That wisdom has helped me have a better life in every way.

New coaches reach out to me every week and they almost always have the same set of struggles to get traction in their coaching business.

Do you recognize yourself in any of these?

• Your head endlessly spins around niche ideas.
• When you talk about coaching people get bored.
• People you know aren’t referring clients to you.
• You work hard on social posts but nothing happens.
• You get lots of advice that leaves you confused and overwhelmed.

You are out there every day taking actions to attract coaching clients so you can earn a good living and help them transform.

A big part of what I teach coaches is how to craft compelling messages. I help coaches speak to the hearts of their audiences.
