  • Proverbs: Are You A Leader?
    Apr 30 2025
What does it mean to be a leader? Pastor Jon wrapped up our Proverbs series by taking a deep dive into Proverbs 29 to see how the Bible challenges us on how to be wise and Godly leaders! Based on chapter 29, here are some questions to consider if you're asking yourself "Am I a leader?": 1. Do You Listen? 2. Do Watch Your Words? 3. Do You Quarrel When You Should Make Peace? 4. Do You Crave Influence Over Integrity? 5. Do You Lead With Vision? Missed last night’s message? • Proverbs: Wisdom and Alcohol
    Apr 23 2025
Pastor Chad came with a great message last night preaching on Proverbs 23 about alcohol — not just the bottle, but the battle behind it. 5 Warnings We Can’t Ignore: 1. It can cause problems – What are you lingering around? 2. It looks good… at first – It may sparkle, but it bites. 3. It poisons – Some of us know the sting too well. 4. It impairs – Convictions get blurry when you’re not sober. 5. It consumes – “You don’t know what you’re willing to risk for the bottle.” Drunkenness is the sin, not the sip — but wisdom is knowing where the line is. If you’re struggling in your relationship with alcohol don’t be afraid to seek the resources you need! -Call the Alcohol Abuse Hotline: 1-800-662-4357 -Consider Re:Gen At Abundant Life -Schedule an appointment with Abundant Life’s Counseling Center Missed last night’s message? • Proverbs: Getting Wisdom
    Apr 10 2025
Last night, Pastor Chad began week two of our sermon series on Proverbs by delving into the topic of wisdom. Proverbs, recognized as one of the wisdom books in the Bible, describes wisdom in chapter eight as “better than rubies.” So, what exactly is wisdom? Wisdom is the skill of navigating life with understanding, recognizing that all aspects of life are interconnected. It equips us to successfully navigate challenges and make decisions with insight. Wisdom goes beyond knowing right from wrong; it is the strength and resolve to do what is right, even when it’s difficult. God desires for us to walk in His wisdom and live a life of purpose and success. We can gain wisdom by seeking counsel from our elders, immersing ourselves in His Word, and, most importantly, cultivating a vibrant relationship with Jesus. Missed last night’s message? • Proverbs: Don't be a fool
    Apr 3 2025
With a new month of Paradigm comes a new series 🥳 And what better way to kick off a new series titled “Proverbs: Don’t Be a Fool” than on April Fool’s Day? Last night, Pastor Chad asked us, “What kind of fool are you?” First, we need to figure out what the Bible considers a fool. It’s not just a derogatory term; it’s more of a diagnosis. According to Proverbs 1:7, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.” We know that a fool is someone living their life disconnected, which means a) they deny that God is the creator (Proverbs 8:27-31) and b) they deny the problem of sin (Proverbs 16:25). When we’re trying to figure out where we can gain more wisdom in our lives, we don’t want to be the kind of fool who is simple and believes everything he hears (Proverbs 14:15). Are we easily influenced, or do we think critically? We also don’t want to be the scorner who believes he’s always right (Proverbs 15:12) or hates knowledge (Proverbs 13:20). Are we able to accept biblical correction, and do we listen when the Lord convicts us? Most importantly, we must remember that we can all be fools in one way or another, and the Bible helps us acknowledge that. But it wasn’t written solely for us to learn how NOT to be fools; it was written for us to understand that we must admit to God our foolishness and that we need Him to save us from it. 🕊️ Missed last night’s message? • Headed West: Greater Expectation
    Mar 26 2025
We just want to say THANK YOU to everyone who showed up last night, and thank you to the people who sacrificed their finances according to God’s will. 🎉 Last night, Pastor Chad concluded our “Headed West” series by discussing greater expectations. He asked us three questions that we should be asking ourselves: 1️⃣ What am I expecting of God? God wants to do wonderful and marvelous things in our generation and in our lives, but we must believe and expect that of Him. 2️⃣ How am I preparing for God? If we expect God to move through us and around us, then that should be affecting us TODAY. 3️⃣ What step am I taking toward God? Pastor Chad spoke to us about the story of Joshua—how Joshua was living in a uniquely spiritually open generation, a generation that God had promised deliverance to. In order to be free from the Egyptians, they needed to cross the Jordan. God told them that He would stop the waters of the Jordan for them to cross, but first, they needed to step into the waters themselves. 👣 God will ask us for a small step so He can make a big step for us. This is why we asked you to give sacrificially. Our small steps will bring wonderful and marvelous workings to the Johnson County Campus. 🕊️ Missed last night’s message? • Headed West: Together
    Mar 19 2025
As God moves and guides us to a new location, it’s important to remember that we’re not doing this individually, but as a collective—we’re headed west together. 🚗 Last night, Pastor John asked us two questions to help us connect in community and address the isolation we see in today’s society. Whose corner are you carrying? There are four corners of community: 1️⃣ We need to belong internationally, knowing who we’re walking with and where we’re headed. 2️⃣ Sharing openly; let’s not hide behind layers that can paralyze our souls. We should push into each other and be honest with one another. 3️⃣ Engaging relationally; it’s important to draw closer together as a community. 4️⃣ Responding biblically means consistently asking ourselves, “How can I take my people to Jesus?” It’s about taking care of people and healing them as we go. Who’s carrying your corners? 🫂 In Mark 2:6-12, the tools the men used to carry the man to Jesus were his mess. We don’t have to go around our weaknesses to get to Jesus; we can use them as leverage to get there. The mess becomes the method. Missed last night’s message?
