    John The Blind is the artist project of esteemed Grammy-winning songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist John Ryan. Known for shaping globally influential records for artists including Sabrina Carpenter, Olivia Dean, One Direction, Teddy Swims, Delta Goodrem, Pitbull, Niall Horan, Katseye, 5 Seconds of Summer, and Maroon 5, he has recently released his own EP, Indicator. The six-track project is written, produced, performed, and mixed entirely by John, blending country-tinged pop with intimate songwriting, eclectic production, and rich instrumentation. In this episode, John speaks with Roxy about the songs that shaped his love of music, including tracks by The Beatles, Stevie Wonder, Radiohead, and more.

    Oklahoma-based dream-pop duo Sports have recently released their long-awaited self-titled album, Sports. Along with the release comes the announcement of Australian tour dates in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane this July, as part of the band's global tour. Marking a major milestone in the duo’s career, Sports is the first project entirely self-produced by the band. We spoke to the band about their core influences.

    An Odyssey Sound Session with sleepazoid.

    The Melbourne alt-rock five-piece formed in 2024 are our ones to watch. Ahead of the release of their second EP, NEW AGE, out February 5, Nette and Jim spoke with Roxy about the songs that have influenced their songwriting.

    Produced and mixed by Jack Nigro at Sonora Studios, the EP is filled with sleepazoid’s signature raw energy with influences of post-punk, shoe gaze and grunge. Following their debut EP, the band have built a loyal and growing fanbase, and will be playing Laneway Festival in Melbourne before their headline Australian tour in March.
