Jesus is irreducibly personal. Rather than settle for the wisdom of crowds, Jesus instead locks eyes with each individual and invites them into a personal relationship. Because of that, the Church is built one person at a time. Join us this Sunday as we hear and answer the question Jesus posed to Peter and to all of us individually: “Who do you say I am?"

Life is fragile. I am sure you've heard that phrase before. The phrase by itself is true but I would ask "do we plan as though life is fragile?" Many people plan as though life will go on forever, even Christians, and may miss how fragile life truly is. In the final sermon in our series "Get Wise," we will turn to the book of James. In chapter 4, James addresses an arrogant attitude among Christians that fails to consider the fragility of our lives. In this passage, we will see the problem with fragility, the reality of fragility, and the heart fragility forms. All three things are intended for us to become wiser with how we view each day.

As you look around at the world today, it begs many questions of God. Questions like "How Long, Oh, Lord?" and "What are you waiting for?" and "Lord, I don't understand this." We grow impatient. We become frustrated. And we want God to move. But what if I told you that following God requires waiting. All throughout scripture this is true. That there is a wisdom that God has in the waiting. That He uses it to teach us to trust Him. This Sunday, may God comfort you with this truth as He increases your faith.
