Today we’re going to talk about the sensational duo Air Supply and their timeless hit, "Even the Nights Are Better!" Released in 1982 as part of their iconic album *Now and Forever*, this track is the embodiment of soft rock romance!

Oh, you can just feel the air in the room shift when that melody kicks in! Who among us hasn’t felt that heartache? You know, the kind that leaves you questioning everything, wondering where love has gone? Well, let me tell you, that’s where Air Supply comes in—like a gentle sunrise after a long, lonely night!

The song captures those deep emotions with lines that connects with anyone who’s ever been lost in the labyrinth of love. "I was the lonely one, wondering what went wrong..." Doesn’t that take you back? We’ve all been there, but then comes that moment of magic when someone special walks into your life, and suddenly—boom!—your nights just got a whole lot better!

What I love about “Even the Nights Are Better” is that it’s an anthem of hope! It tells us that even when the days can be tough, having that special someone by your side can illuminate even the darkest nights. Just listen to that soaring chorus! “Even the nights are better, now that we’re here together!” Who can resist belting that out at the top of their lungs?

This track was a chart-busting phenomenon, spending a glorious four weeks at the top of the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart, and reaching a peak position of No. 5 on the Hot 100. That's right, folks—Air Supply was riding high with their seventh consecutive top five hit! A record for the ages!

So, as you tune into YouTube tonight or any night, let “Even the Nights Are Better” sweep you off your feet! It’s a reminder that in the realm of love, the lows only make the highs feel that much sweeter.

Hey there, rock ‘n’ roll fans! Let me take you back to the fall of 1979, a time when the air was thick with melodies and the dance floors were alive with energy! We find ourselves in the world of Dr. Hook, that charming soft rock magic, with their hit single "Better Love Next Time." Released on Capitol Records, this catchy tune is plucked right from their album *Sometimes You Win*, and boy, did it make waves!

This song isn’t just another sweet serenade! It’s a heartwarming song that taps into love and loss. Our lyrical hero is reaching out to a friend who’s been hurt in the game of love. With its smooth rhythm and gentle disco vibes, it assures us that though love might have slipped through our fingers this time, there’s always a sparkle of hope waiting just around the corner.

"Better Love Next Time" soared to No. 12 on the Billboard Hot 100, occupying the scene for a solid 19 weeks! And it didn’t stop there. It climbed to the No. 3 spot on the Adult Contemporary chart! Talk about a chart topper! Across the pond, it charmed the hearts of listeners in the UK, hitting No. 8, and it made a splash in New Zealand too—landing at No. 7. The power of love and lightness of the beat brought it to the top of the charts, making it the 49th biggest American hit of 1980—a true song with catchy hooks and relatable lyrics!

We’re talking about a groove that’s been captivating hearts and moving feet since it’s released in 1985. I’m talking about “Something About You,” that sensational single from the iconic English jazz-funk band Level 42. This track is pure magic.

Released far and wide, not just in the UK, but also hitting the airways of the US, Germany, Italy, Canada, and so many more countries. This country transcends borders. And guess what? It’s the only Level 42 song to smack right into the top 10 here in the states, reaching an impressive number seven on the Billboard Hot 100 for those glorious weeks of May 31 and June 7, 1986. What a triumph.

And the excitement didn’t stop there. The track also shimmed it’s way too number six on the UK singles chart making it their second top 10 hit in their home country.

Something About You didn’t capture a moment. It’s been immortalized in numerous level 42 collections. Whether you’re flipping through “Level Best,” “The Very Best of level 42,” or the “Definitive Collection,” you’ll find this sumptuous track, enticing listeners, old and new.

Now let’s not forget the masterpiece of a music video that gray style screens directed by the talented Stewart Orme - who’s no stranger to creating visual magic with musicians like Phil Collins and Genesis. The video presents the shorter single version that showcases the songs undeniable charm.

I’m Gail Nobles you’re listening to Multi-Tunes. The music lives on and trust me. There’s definitely something about this song “Something About You,” that makes it a classic.
