  • 1 Corinthians 13 | Victorious in Motherhood | Robin Elliott
    Jan 5 2026

“Because of His love and Jesus’ sacrifice for us, we will fully know Him and worship Him forever.” Because of God’s great love, He sent His Son so we could be in His presence for all eternity. And His love is an example to us of how we are to love others.

Today on the podcast, our United States Country Coordinator, Robin Elliott, joins us on the podcast to talk through 1 Corinthians 13, the love chapter. As followers of Christ, we are called to love others. And it may not be with the kind of love you think. Listen in to hear how God calls each of us to love those around us.

    ABOUT OUR GUEST

Robin has been married to her husband, John, since 1986. When their oldest started school, she heard about Moms in Prayer on the radio and joined a group for the local school. That was the beginning of an amazing journey which has led from Minnesota to Idaho and from a group member into leadership. Robin currently serves as USA Country Coordinator.

Through Moms in Prayer, she has learned that one hour a week can put the rest of the week’s activities into perspective. Over and over, God has multiplied her time when she put Him first. She would love for each woman to have that same experience. Robin has found that when she gets busy and becomes distracted, it is easy to lose perspective and move ahead in her own strength. But when she sets aside weekly time to pray with others in a Moms in Prayer group, her focus on who God is and what God has done gives her all she needs to handle every situation she faces. 2 Samuel 22:33 reminds us that “It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure.”

    SCRIPTURES

For while there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not of the flesh and behaving only in a human way? 1 Corinthians 3:3 ESV

Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Romans 12:15 ESV

Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Romans 12:9 ESV

Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, 1 Peter 5:6 ESV

  • 1 Corinthians 12 | Victorious in Motherhood | Sandra Bosch
    Nov 24 2025

“God loves us equally. He does not love one more because he is doing more. He does not love one less because he sinned again. No, His love is overwhelming and accessible for all of us.” God, in His mercy and lovingkindness, has given us the gift of the Holy Spirit. And through Him, we have received spiritual gifts to serve Him and build up the body of Christ. And yet, our flesh can get in the way! Listen in to this week’s episode with our Chile Country Coordinator, Sandra Bosch, and be encouraged in using your gifts for the glory of God and the good of the church.

The Moms in Prayer Podcast is a part of the Christian Parenting Podcast Network. To find practical and spiritual advice to help you grow into the parent you want to be visit ChristianParenting.org

    ABOUT OUR GUEST

Sandra Bosch has a genuine passion for prayer and encouraging women in the gift of intercession. Since she accepted Christ as her Savior, the Lord has guided, challenged and trained her in praying for others, filling her heart with His love for the lost. In 2010, the Lord introduced her to Moms in Prayer, with the need to prayer for her then 2-year-old daughter. Currently, Sandra serves as Country Coordinator in Chile together with many incredible women who serve beside her on the Moms in Prayer International Chilean Team. Sandra and her husband Juan Pablo reside in Santiago de Chile, with their two lovely daughters, Anabel (17) and Tamara (13), and their two Chilean Fox Terriers, Manchita and Chiquitin.

    SCRIPTURES

because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9 ESV

As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 4:10-11 ESV

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. Or which one of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him! Matthew 7:7-11 ESV

For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing… Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! Romans 7:19, 25a NIV

I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor. 1 Corinthians 3:6-8 NIV

  • 1 Corinthians 11 | Victorious in Motherhood | Delise Barnes
    Nov 10 2025

“One of our highest callings is to come alongside our husbands and help them to be the men that God has called them to be so that we can be the couple that God has called us to be.” In 1 Corinthians 11, we are reminded that God has given a proper order to everything. As wives, God has given us the beautiful assignment of building up our husbands and submitting to them, just as Jesus submitted to the Father’s will. When we place God as supreme in our lives, He will give us what we need to love and serve others as He has called us to. Hear more from our Mississippi State Coordinator, Delise Barnes, in the podcast.

    ABOUT OUR GUEST

I was new in town and saw a Moms in Prayer flyer inviting moms to attend a group meeting. I dropped in on the meeting and it was great! The four steps format was easy to follow and we prayed Scripture straight from the Bible over our children and their schools. We prayed together in small groups of two or three. It was comforting to know that what we prayed about stayed in our group. We went through many trials and struggles with all of our children, but the comfort and peace I had every time I left those meetings was indescribable. We had indeed gone to battle for our children through prayer.

I was born in Alabama. I am a wife, mom, Bible teacher, Board certified Biblical Counselor and Co-founder with my husband at Ready to Remarry Ministries. I love serving with Moms in Prayer as State Coordinator of Mississippi. I have a burning desire in my heart to see others learn about the love of Jesus and how He can transform their lives. Prayer changes things; I know this for sure. My husband, James, and I are blessed with seven children. That’s a lot of prayers, for sure. One of the very best things you can do for your children and others in this world today is pray. I will be, and I hope you will join me!

    SCRIPTURES

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:28 ESV

saying, “Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.”Luke 22:42 ESV

“If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple. Luke 14:26 ESV

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.1 John 1:9 ESV

  • 1 Corinthians 10:15-33 | Victorious in Motherhood | Marianne Holm
    Oct 27 2025

“When we are pursuing anything besides God, we are never fulfilled. But when we are pursuing Him, He fills us and we are satisfied in Him.” Today we finish out chapter 10 of 1 Corinthians with our Director of Finance, Marianne Holm. She reminds us of the incredible freedom we have in Christ and also the joy of obedience. God created us to love and serve Him and others. Many times, that means laying down our own wants to be a light and encouragement to others. And yet, in that, we find true joy and satisfaction. Lord, help us lay down our own desires and pride so we may better love You and others.

    SCRIPTURES

“Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. Matthew 5:17 ESV

For “the earth is the Lord's, and the fullness thereof.” 1 Corinthians 10:26 ESV

Jesus said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” John 4:13-14 ESV

Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life, John 6:68 ESV

And so by your knowledge this weak person is destroyed, the brother for whom Christ died. Thus, sinning against your brothers and wounding their conscience when it is weak, you sin against Christ. 1 Corinthians 8:11-12 ESV

But if all prophesy, and an unbeliever or outsider enters, he is convicted by all, he is called to account by all, the secrets of his heart are disclosed, and so, falling on his face, he will worship God and declare that God is really among you. 1 Corinthians 14:24-25 ESV

In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. Matthew 5:16 ESV

    Oct 13 2025

“There is a battle for our affections.” In 1 Corinthians 10, we are reminded how easily the Israelites fell into idolatry and temptation despite the miracles they saw God perform and how He provided for them each step of the way. And yet, we too are sheep who are easily led astray by our flesh and the desires of this world. As we stay aware and remember what God has done, we can be thankful people and see and experience God’s best. Here more from our Director of Finance, Marianne Holm, in the podcast.

    SCRIPTURES

And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead them along the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, that they might travel by day and by night. The pillar of cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night did not depart from before the people. Exodus 13:21-22 ESV

Then the angel of God who was going before the host of Israel moved and went behind them, and the pillar of cloud moved from before them and stood behind them, 20 coming between the host of Egypt and the host of Israel. Exodus 14:19-20a ESV

“Who is like you, O Lord, among the gods?

Who is like you, majestic in holiness,

awesome in glorious deeds, doing wonders? Exodus 15:11 ESV

The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer,

my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge,

my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. Psalm 18:2 ESV

For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things. Romans 1:21-23 ESV

For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. 5 We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ, 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 ESV

You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him. But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness. If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you. Romans 8:9-11 ESV

  • 1 Corinthians 9 | Victorious in Motherhood | Jean Hendrickson
    Sep 29 2025

“For our kids, it’s not the physical prize that is important. It is about the eternal prize of salvation, spending eternity with their Heavenly Father. That is the prize of a champion!” North Dakota State Coordinator, Jean Hendrickson, joins us on the podcast today to talk through 1 Corinthians 9. She reminds us of the importance of keeping an eternal perspective. We have an amazing example from Paul to fix our eyes on God and the truth of His Word so that we can reach many lives for His Kingdom. Just like Paul, we don’t want anything to hinder us from sharing the good news!

    ABOUT OUR GUEST

I am Jean Hendrickson, State Coordinator for North Dakota. Moms in Prayer has been an important part of my life and my family's life for approximately 25 years. I first heard about Moms in Prayer from my pastor's wife when she asked me if I would like to pray for my children, my response was a resounding yes! We started a Moms in Prayer group and then heard Fern Nichols at an event in ND. I was all in! I prayed for 18 years before knowing there were big things happening in this organization, that it was spreading around the world! I served as an Area Coordinator for one year before being prayed into the State Coordinator position. I have met so many beautiful ladies through Moms in Prayer and have learned so much from them.

I have been married to my kindergarten crush for 42 years. We have been farming on his and my parents' family farms for 46 years. We credit God for getting us to where we are today. My husband is the best cheerleader for Moms in Prayer! We co-led a youth group for 19 years. This helped us understand what challenges our youth are facing and were able to place them on the Moms in Prayer "mat". We participated in prison ministry for many years and were able to see the answers to the prayers of moms and grandmothers for their loved ones who were now inmates, as they were giving their life to Christ in prison. Meet them where they are at Lord!

We have three grown and married children, Blase, Danielle and Cole. We rejoice that they and their spouses follow Jesus. They have blessed us with six grandchildren (3 boys and 3 girls). Blase farms with us and if his three-year-old can decide his future, at least one grandson will hope to farm. Danielle is a realtor and Cole is a CFO of an electric cooperative. All live within two hours of us...YAY!

    SCRIPTURES

Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” John 20:29 NIV

For the Scripture says, “You shall not muzzle an ox when it treads out the grain,” and, “The laborer deserves his wages.” 1 Timothy 5:18 ESV

Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. 38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” Matthew 9:37-38 NIV

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 2 Timothy 4:7 NIV

I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:14 NIV

so is my word that goes out from my mouth:

It will not return to me empty,

but will accomplish what I desire

and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:11 NIV
