The workshop begins with participants entering a space filled with anticipation. Facilitator Matt sets the tone for an immersive experience focused on understanding and practicing consent as a lived, embodied experience.

The first exercise, “Predator, Protector, and Prey,” helps participants explore their instincts and reactions to vulnerability, protection, and predation. This sets the stage for deeper reflections on safety and awareness.

As the workshop progresses, participants engage in paired activities to practice asking for and receiving consent, particularly around kissing, challenging them to confront boundaries and the discomfort of rejection.

The emphasis is on the internal processes of consent—how it feels to ask for what you want, the fears and vulnerabilities that arise, and the importance of clear communication. Participants share experiences and insights, building a deeper understanding of consent in their lives.

The session concludes with reflection and group discussion, where participants share their learnings and challenges. A final exercise on self-compassion acknowledges the difficulties in asking for what they want and avoiding default behaviors.
