  • Secrets Bahia Mita on The Jet Set TV with Lisa Niver
    Oct 5 2025

I spoke with Nikki Noya on The Jet Set TV about my incredible stay at Secrets Bahia Mita Surf & Spa Resort in Riviera Nayarit. From Sky Bar cabanas and whale watching to sunset hula hooping, birthday celebrations, and unforgettable dining, this adults-only, all-inclusive escape—part of Hyatt’s Inclusive Collection—truly exceeded every expectation. 🌴✨

    https://www.wesaidgotravel.com/secrets-bahia-mita/

In my interview on The Jet Set TV, I shared why Secrets Bahia Mita Surf & Spa Resort in Riviera Nayarit was such an unforgettable experience. This adults-only, all-inclusive property—part of Hyatt’s Inclusive Collection—offered the perfect mix of relaxation, celebration, and adventure. My suite was extraordinary, with over 1,000 square feet of space, a plunge pool, wraparound balcony, and sweeping ocean views. One of my favorite memories was hula hooping at sunset during our private mixology class on the balcony.

Celebrating Heather’s birthday at the resort was pure joy. From songs and shots at breakfast to a surprise cake at dinner, the staff turned every moment into a celebration. Our Sky Bar cabana days were equally special: drinks delivered poolside, surprise Oreo ice cream sandwiches, whale watching from our loungers, and even a sunglass concierge to keep everything crystal clear. Team members like Regina, Angelo, Efrain, and Julio went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for.

And then there was the food—fresh lunches at Olio and Sky Bar, perfect steaks at Bluewater Grill, Mediterranean flavors at Mezze, and plenty of birthday cheer everywhere we dined. Evenings brought karaoke at Koi Bar, fireworks from nearby celebrations, and whale and dolphin sightings along the coast. Secrets Bahia Mita isn’t just a resort—it’s a place where every detail adds up to a joyful, luxurious escape that I’ll never forget.

  • BRAVE-ish on Sideline Sisters
    Sep 21 2025

SIDELINE SISTERS E86 Lisa Niver takes small steps toward feeling brave and finding joyhttps://youtu.be/hSqkVQsanlULisa Niver is a Telly Award-winning travel journalist, TV host, and author of the award-winning memoir Brave-ish: One Breakup, Six Continents, and Feeling Fearless After Fifty. She’s explored over 100 countries on all seven continents, with bylines in USA Today 10Best, The Los Angeles Times, and WIRED. Host of the podcast Make Your Own Map, Lisa inspires audiences worldwide through her bold adventures, powerful storytelling, and passion for reinvention.

    Lisa's Notes from the Sidelines:

    • Being brave and adventurous have to do with perspective -- how we think of ourselves and the judgement perceived.
    • Small steps lead to big changes.
    • Starting over is hard... no matter how many times you've done it.
    • Like scuba diving, in life, when we have challenges, we need to lean on a buddy. So reach out, take small steps, and find a buddy.
    • You can't do new things in an old way.
    • Acknowledgement and winning is validating, especially when you do your work alone and don't know if it's impactful.
    • Find what makes you happy and do it. It is much easier with the internet to find your people.
    • Travel lets you learn new things and gives you the opportunity for perspective.
    • You can have a travel experience without ever getting on a plane. Explore your own city.
    • Be kind to yourself. It's easy to label yourself a failure, but we don't call a baby a failure when it's learning to walk.
    • When someone says no to you, maybe it means something better is coming.🎙️Listen to Sideline Sisters podcast on your favorite app: https://pod.link/1709566379🌐Check Jentle Coaching website: www.jentlecoaching.com👉Follow @jentlecoaching on Instagram: www.instagram.com/jentlecoaching
