  • "I Want A Divorce But I Can't Afford It"
    Aug 11 2025

In this season of MID, we are answering the dilemmas and questions that you, our listeners, have sent us.

This episode is all about divorce and separation—when it might be the right choice, what typically leads to it, and how to navigate it in the healthiest way possible. Our guest, Nikki Parkinson, has been through a divorce herself—an especially unique one—and now dedicates her work to helping others through their own journeys.

The dilemmas that Nikki & Holly tackle in this episode are:

    • I have fallen out of love with my husband, but I don't know if I can afford life without him. What do I do?
    • I’ve been divorced for almost two years, and my ex wants to introduce his new partner to our children. I think it's too soon, but he thinks I'm being jealous. Should he respect my wishes?
    • I’m having an affair with someone I met at work, and the sex is amazing. Do I have to tell my husband?
    • How do I know it’s really over with my partner of six years—my first same-sex relationship—when she says she’s unsure, has moved out, but still calls and comes back?

  • Can I Pay $500 For A New Face
    Aug 4 2025

In this season of MID, we are answering the dilemmas and questions that you, our listeners, have sent us.

This episode is all about our relationship with our faces and what the treatments and tweakments out there are doing to our faces. Our guest is the perfect person to guide us through this minefield: Dr Naomi, a doctor who's been refreshingly honest about her own facial work and runs a clinic offering all kinds of beauty treatments.

The dilemmas that Dr Naomi & Holly tackle in this episode are:

    • I am very tempted to fix some of the things that are making me sad when I look in the mirror. How much do anti-aging procedures cost? Can I justify the money?
    • I want to get tweaks, but my partner would be so disappointed in me if I did. Is it okay to hide it from my partner?
    • My partner is 10 years younger than me, and I look SO much older than him. What are the most effective, not too obvious procedures to "freshen me up"?

You can follow Dr Naomi here and find out more about her clinic work here.

  • The Tantalising Temptation Of My Facebook Ex
    Jul 28 2025

In this season of MID, we are answering the dilemmas and questions that you, our listeners, have sent us.

This episode is all about the excitement, fear, insecurity and orgasmic joy of MID dating. Who better to enlist to answer your questions than the very funny and very smart Cath Mahoney, who herself is currently ‘between boyfriends’ - so trust us, she knows the good, bad and ugly (and the great) about all things dating.

The dilemmas that Cath & Holly tackle in this episode are:

    • I’ve reconnected with my Facebook ex - he’s not NOT married - and I’m feeling like maybe he’s the one that got away…but my best friend is telling me to let it go.
    • I’m on the apps…and I’m thinking about dating younger men. Do I? Should I? How?
    • I’ve been having the best sex of my life since my divorce…but now my ex wants me back - I’m tempted - but I don’t want to give up the hot sex!
    • Is it bad to want to date someone with money?

You can follow Cath here and get her book here.

  • WELL: From Body To Brain Health: How To Go The Distance As You Get Older
    Jul 4 2025

What do Zumba and Greek dancing have to do with bone density? Why should you shave first and soak later? And who gets to decide whether you can have a hysterectomy for health reasons if you haven’t had kids yet?

In this episode, Endocrinologist Dr Sonia Davison from Jean Hailes for Women’s Health talks about whether diet and exercise can prevent dementia and what waist circumference has to do with healthy ageing. She also discusses how stomping, sleeping and strength training should all be part of the puzzle as you get older.

We also talk about intermittent fasting and how cups of tea with your girlfriends could be just what the doctor ordered.

And, is it possible to delay your ‘hormone window of chaos’?

  • EXTRA: You Forgot to Live Overseas ‘Til Now
    Jun 11 2025

What if you’ve always wanted to live somewhere else?

What if you did it, once, and you remember the freedom and the energy released by fresh places, by a different culture, a true restart.

What if you’re looking at your post-work act and you’re thinking, would the pressure be less? Would the joy be multiplied? Would my dollar go further? Would my wanderlust be sated. If I… lived somewhere else.

What would it be like? Would you be lonely? Would you be safe? Would you feel like a new version of yourself?
We’ve got someone we’d like you to meet. Maggie Lazarre is American. Three years ago she moved, alone, to Panama, in Central America, and she was so bombarded with questions of how she did it - how she retired alone to another country, that she started a community called Single Women Retiring Abroad.

Whether you’re single or not, and wherever you might be dreaming about heading off to when you don’t have to go to work every day, you’re going to like Maggie’s energy and honesty. Her stories of what’s working, what’s not, what she loves about her choice, what she’d do differently…
