Slinking out of Lafayette, La., three years ago, they’ve already raised plenty of eyebrows with their grunge-inspired take on emo and shoegaze. Now touring behind their debut EP, The Weight, Cashier played no less than 16 shows at last week’s SXSW. They managed to stay upright long enough for this mid-conference chat.
