Welcome to La Mesa con Papi, I'm Stephanie Nemeroff. You may know me from my previous podcast, Boozy Love. This past year has transformed my life in incredible ways—I embraced marriage, and motherhood, and gained invaluable insights throughout this journey. Now, I'm thrilled to return to podcasting at this pivotal moment. After two enriching years of major life changes—welcoming our baby, getting married, and pivoting my career—I'm back with an exciting addition: my dad joins me as co-host. Together, we'll explore my adventures raising a spirited one-year-old alongside my wonderful husband, tackling the unique challenges and joys of young motherhood. I'm here to share not just my story, but to connect with others navigating parenthood in their twenties while building their lives. My dad brings his valuable perspective as an empty nester who's now embraced his role as Abuelo, offering time-tested wisdom while sharing his journey into the Golden Years.

  • La Salud de Nuestras Madres | Who Is Healthcare Working For?

In this episode of La Mesa con Papi, we sit down to talk about maternal and fetal health — and the complicated truth behind the numbers.

Overall, maternal death rates in the United States have recently begun trending in a more positive direction. But when we look closer, a different story emerges. For Black and Latina mothers, the risks are still increasing — and the disparities remain deeply concerning.

    So the question becomes: why?

In today’s conversation, we explore the historical roots of racism and sexism within the medical and scientific communities, and how those early foundations still influence healthcare today.

We talk about the reality of navigating medical systems, the importance of advocating for yourself and your family, and why understanding history helps us make more informed decisions about our health.

But this conversation is not about fear — it’s about empowerment.

Because fear should never be the force guiding life’s most important decisions. Knowledge, confidence, and community should be.

Join us as we unpack a difficult but necessary conversation about maternal health, advocacy, and honoring the strength of the women who bring life into this world.

  • Too Much | Demasiado: Overconsumption, Aesthetic Living & Social Media Pressure
    Mar 1 2026

    Send a text

We live in a world that constantly tells us we need more — more stuff, more productivity, more aesthetics, more perfection.

In this episode of La Mesa con Papi, we unpack what it means to live in an era of overconsumption — where Amazon is one click away, trends change weekly, and even “simple living” has become an aesthetic to sell.

    We talk about:

    • The pressure to keep up in a hyper-consumer culture
    • Romanticizing farm life, homesteading, and “slow living”
    • The difference between intentional living and performative simplicity
    • And the emotional cost of constant judgment in the age of social media

Are we actually craving a slower, more grounded life?
Or are we just overwhelmed by comparison?

This is an honest conversation about discernment, identity, and protecting your peace in a world that profits from your insecurity.

If you’ve ever felt behind, judged, or tempted to reinvent your entire life after scrolling… this one’s for you.

Hay espacio para cuestionarlo todo aquí.
