A newly formed group called Nevada County Queer Events has organized a Pride Celebration in Nevada City. KVMR News spoke to Robert Rushin, one of the organizers, to learn more.

Several small fires ignited here in Nevada County on Tuesday. The most significant was the Pleasant Fire, which burned 2 acres near Lake Wildwood.

CAL FIRE suspended its burn permits for outdoor residential burning within Nevada, Yuba, Placer and Sierra counties on Monday, June 17th.
