In Week 2 of The Disciple’s Path, Aaron Joseph Hall teaches from Gospel of Mark 3:13–15, where Jesus calls the Twelve to be with Him before sending them out.

Big Idea: A disciple’s primary calling is not activity, but proximity.

Looking also at Gospel of John 15:4–5 and Gospel of Luke 10:38–42, we’re reminded that fruit comes from abiding, not striving. You can be busy for Jesus and still distant from Him.

Before He sends you out, He calls you close.

This week, Pastor Aaron kicked off a new series titled The Disciple’s Path, diving into Gospel of Matthew 4:18–22, where Jesus calls ordinary fishermen and simply says, “Follow Me.”

Discipleship starts with a personal response to that invitation. The first disciples immediately left their nets — their livelihood, security, and comfort — to follow Him.
