    In Part 2 of our Jay Robinson Tribute Series, we transition from the beginning of the J Rob Era in the late 1980's, to the early 1990's with 1991 National Champion and former U of M Assistant Coach Marty Morgan. We head into the early 2000's and explore the National Championship teams with former Gopher team Captain and Assistant Coach, Joe Russell. 2x NCAA D1 All-American Mack Reiter joins to talk about the Minnesota-Iowa rivalry and J Rob's impact as a coach. We close out with "the voice of wrestling" - Jason Bryant - on J Robinson as a leader, innovator, and promotor of the sport of wrestling.

  • Pine Island's Nick Thein and Lauren Elsmore

    Nick Thein and Lauren Elsmore are two of the best athletes to come out of Pine Island (and SEMN) in recent years. Nick is an all-state running back, a wrestling state medalist, and a baseball state champion with PI in 2025. Lauren is the first-ever Girls State Champion wrestler for Pine Island and a 4x state finalist in total. Lauren is also a standout softball and soccer player for PI. She will continue her wrestling career next year at the University of Sioux Falls. Two of the best in the business!

    Aiden Graner is an upcoming Graduate of Plainview-Elgin-Millville and a 5-year starter for the PEM Wrestling team. Aiden qualified for State 3 times, earned 2 medals, and made the State Finals in 2025. But, perhaps, his greatest wrestling accomplishments were bouncing back from the challenges wrestling threw at him. A story on broken jaws, dealing with setbacks and many great memories - thanks for sharing your story, Aiden!
