  • E076: Dr Christle Guevarra - White Belt
    May 10 2025

Christle Guevarra is a White Belt, and was very much a car forum kinda girl with her Subaru back in the 90's, and was encouraged by a now Black Belt to start training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu over 10 years ago. It has taken that amount of time for Christle to decide to giving it a go, and even now she's already competed twice in the last year, with a huge amount of fun and drive for life on the mats.

Christle shares her practice of the solo sport of powerlifting, and the transition through life to Jiu Jitsu., along the way, sharing her pain and emotions, from being overweight, to now with her weight loss and overcoming others opinion and comments on the internet.

We talk about GLP-1 agonists from their initial introduction in 2005, and Christle opens up about her Ozempic journey story and the positives she now draws from it. One additional thing we both feel has improved though, is our own Jiu Jitsu guard games, and we'll leave that to you all to truly decide!
