In this teaching, Dave Bigler quest teaches at Adirondack Christian Fellowship. He goes through Matthew 8.23-27 talking about Jesus calming the storm on the Sea of Galilee. Dave talks about the historical context of the Sea of Galilee and how quickly storms can rage on that water. We see Jesus, not worried at all, quickly calm the story and ask the disciples why they doubted. We see this applicable in our lives today as we face the storms that rage in our own lives, and how we grow from going through them. Dave ties this into short-term missions and how we grow from intentionally putting ourselves in situations that will strengthen our faith in the Lord. Dave concludes with a recap of his recent team trip to Malawi, Africa.

In this Bible Study we walk through all of Leviticus 16 in which we study the Day of Atonement, also known as Yom Kippur (יום כיפור). The Day of Atonement was (and still is) the most holy day for all of Israel, although it was celebrated differently in Moses’ day from how it is today.
