This episode is a continuation of the previous episode on how we changed our perspective in relation to our diet. CONNECT WITH US! • 145. How My Perspective on My Diet for Endometriosis Has Changed
    Apr 10 2025
Amy and Brittany both follow an individualized diet for endo and chronic illness, which we’ve each been on for over 15 years. While at first we abhorred our way of eating and found it tedious and a chore, we now embrace it as something that helps us feel our best, and we’ve learned new habits and ways of thinking that has made following our way of eating much easier. We talk about this shift in the way we see our food choices and how we got there, such as by: -understanding how diet culture played a role in our thinking-identifying our priorities and making a commitment to them-supporting ourselves through the emotional grief that came with diet change. Especially love the end, it was just what I needed

I'm 48yo and lived with undiagnosed endometriosis for 36 years. This disease is real and as bad as it is, the psychological effects of it can be so much worse. Since my diagnosis almost two years ago, I have relentlessly struggled against the medical current to advocate for myself and find people who listen and want to help. I'm scheduled for excision surgery and bowel resection in a week and I really needed the encouragement I found here. I know I have a long road ahead to travel, but thank God I no longer doubt my symptoms or have to struggle alone. Thanks to Amy and Brittany for reaching out to my heart through this podcast and helping to hold me up. I am doing the best I can today and for that I choose to be proud, regardless of the circumstances. Great job, ladies! You've made a difference in this old gal's life.
