    Dr. Dawn Filos grew up in New Jersey, in a family of eccentric animal lovers, preparing her for a lifelong career spent with like-minded pet people. She spent most of her career in Pennsylvania, where she remained after veterinary school for the last ~32 years. She is a house call vet and had a practice called Bucks Mercer Mobile Vet straddling New Jersey & Pennsylvania, and has written a book about her experiences as a house call veterinarian called Tails of A Pet Vet: Stories from the Clinic and House Calls! She now splits her time between Arizona, & New York. Her blog www.drdawnthepetvet.com was originally started to augment pet first aid classes and pet CPR courses she taught for years. It began as more informational and evolved to focus on the benefits of the human-animal bond, a topic that interests her and features prominently and often throughout her book.     Dr. Kate Moore grew up in Michigan but happily relocated to Southern California after gaining acceptance to Western University of Health Sciences. Since graduating in 2015, she has worked with exotics in several GPs, while learning acupuncture and laser therapy, until she opened her own house call practice in August of 2022. Along with owning and operating Good Vibes Mobile Veterinary Services, she now also works as the primary veterinarian at the Santa Ana Zoo, where she promises NOT to steal any of the animals. Despite the workload, she also manages to find time to pursue her hobbies, some of which include sewing, watching football, painting D&D minis, kickboxing, going to Disneyland, taking her two rescue chihuahuas to the beach, and tending to her isopods.     Dr. Rosemarie Niznik is the founder of Harmony Rose Animal Wellness, a holistic house call practice serving Wisconsin and Illinois. A graduate of the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine, she began her career in small animal practice before shifting her focus to integrative medicine after experiencing the benefits of acupuncture and chiropractic care firsthand. She is certified in Veterinary Acupuncture, Food Therapy, Tui-na, and Veterinary Spinal Manipulation Therapy, and continues advanced studies at Chi University. Dr. Niznik has served as president of both the Chicago Veterinary Medical Association and the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association and now represents AHVMA in the AVMA House of Delegates. When she's not caring for patients, she enjoys skiing in the winter, traveling in the summer, and spending time with her husband, Chip, her Bernese Mountain Dog, Arabella, and her rescued cat, Willa.
