At the House Call Vet Café, we make it our mission to give our community of house call veterinarians a platform to share their stories, lift each other up, support each other, and share actionable tips, whether they are a super experienced house call vet with 30 years of experience, a brand new prospective house call vet just looking to get started… or are simply house call curious! We highlight house call veterinarians in our community who are doing unique and innovative things. You can also look forward to hearing valuable information and perspectives on mobile practice from specialists & experts outside of the mobile veterinary microniche. To help other veterinarians pursue their paths as mobile vets, I started The House Call Vet Academy. This is a continuing education program designed to provide detailed results-driven support for veterinarians practicing on a mobile basis. Prior to QSM, Ed was a tenured professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Northeastern University. Ed earned his PhD in Bioengineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and he has over 60 publications and several patents in the areas of sensors, microfluidics, and biophysics. He lives in Somerville, MA, with his wife, Liz, two Alaskan Klee Kai dogs, Odin and Gunnar, and two Balinese cats, Loki and Bandit.     Dr. Kate Moore grew up in Michigan but happily relocated to Southern California after gaining acceptance to Western University of Health Sciences. Since graduating in 2015, she has worked with exotics in several GPs, while learning acupuncture and laser therapy, until she opened her own house call practice in August of 2022. Along with owning and operating Good Vibes Mobile Veterinary Services, she now also works as the primary veterinarian at the Santa Ana Zoo, where she promises NOT to steal any of the animals. Despite the workload, she also manages to find time to pursue her hobbies, some of which include sewing, watching football, painting D&D minis, kickboxing, going to Disneyland, taking her two rescue chihuahuas to the beach, and tending to her isopods.     Dr. Rosemarie Niznik is the founder of Harmony Rose Animal Wellness, a holistic house call practice serving Wisconsin and Illinois. A graduate of the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine, she began her career in small animal practice before shifting her focus to integrative medicine after experiencing the benefits of acupuncture and chiropractic care firsthand. She is certified in Veterinary Acupuncture, Food Therapy, Tui-na, and Veterinary Spinal Manipulation Therapy, and continues advanced studies at Chi University. Dr. Niznik has served as president of both the Chicago Veterinary Medical Association and the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association and now represents AHVMA in the AVMA House of Delegates. When she’s not caring for patients, she enjoys skiing in the winter, traveling in the summer, and spending time with her husband, Chip, her Bernese Mountain Dog, Arabella, and her rescued cat, Willa.
