The disciples did not ask Jesus to teach them how to preach or perform miracles—they asked, “Lord, teach us to pray” (Matthew 6:9). They had watched Him go to prayer and return changed, strengthened, and directed. Prayer was learned through observation, relationship, and practice. Scripture also tells us that when two agree in prayer, heaven responds (Matthew 18:19). That’s why wise believers seek the company of those who pray. As Pastor Bob, often said, “If you want to learn how to pray, get around people who pray.” Listen to them, join them, and pray with them—because prayer is formed in fellowship, not isolation.

Have you ever been sitting in church or any where for that matter and it seems that everyone around you is have a good day but you? You're thinking ... "I recently experienced this radical change in my life being baptized & born again... and here I sit bummed-out... what's up with that?"

Sometimes that sadness inside is really the Holy Spirit nudging us. Ephesians 4:30 reminds us not to bring sorrow to God’s Spirit by how we live, and Romans 2:4 shows us that God’s kindness is meant to lead us back to Him. Just as a loving father guides a wandering child, the Holy Spirit’s conviction is a gracious hand bringing us back in tune with God’s heart.

In this episode John shares words of encouragement and explains how our God's, kindness and the Spirit’s gentle conviction guide us back to Him, much like a loving father leading a drifting child home.

Ephesians 4:30 reminds do not bring sorrow to God's Holy Spirit by the way we live

Don't you see how wonderfully kind, tolerant and patient God is with you/us? Can't you see that His kindness is intended to turn you/us from your/our sins. (Romans 2:4 New Living Translation)
