In one of his books, E.M. Bounds attributed the following quote to John Wesley: “God does nothing but in answer to prayer.”
"I read this as a young preacher and for some reason believed it. This conviction has been the strength of my ministry for more than 60 years. Though I would not say God does absolutely nothing but in answer to prayer, I will say, as a rule, God does nothing but in answer to believing prayer." – B. J. Willhite
